  1. Let's keep in mind that Aggie identifies more with the collective $EC than themselves, especially on the recruiting trail. Any attack on the $EC is perceived by the sheephumpers as an attack on Aggie. It triggers them.

Demas obviously came in hypersensitive to all things anti-aggie, because he is already brainwashed. If the same "thing" went down in CS next weekend and he was there he would not be triggered. He is all $EC/Aggie.

Despite a highlight reel that did not include a black defensive back until about the 8 minute mark, it’s pretty clear to me what he is. He has the anticipation of Drew Brees, the accuracy of Troy Aikman, the pocket presence of Aaron Rodgers the gamesmanship of Steve Young and of course the hands of Alex Smith.

Someone who knows football better than me. What are you able to tell me about his film when he is running by 5”7 white defensive backs with impunity? Anything else other than when we play Air Force they better look the fuck out?

I also heard Card's left-handed and no-look passes are better than Pat Mahomes'.

The business of not pressuring him, if it’s true, makes me wonder if jimbo is trying to manage things up to signing day to see who all wants in, and then he decides where the last scholarships go. Makes sense for shepherd’s “final” decision too.

Or it’s all theater and he’s locked in at aggy, and going to bama and uga to get fwk paid.

Or he’s torn and will make his decision right before the announcement, tears in his eyes.

Or it's Aggie's excuse if he signs with us and not them. And if he does sign with them, they can act like they have some "$EC card" of not having to push hard for "lesser" UT/Big 12 recruits.

I'm so happy about Gbenda. Recruitniks and 9.95ers pooh-poohed our pursuit at the time. He's been a player from the start.

Agree. Plus, all the Aggie talk about them not being interested and they ain't got shit for LBs in their class or returning next year. Aggie gonna Aggie

Powell has nothing to do with the wr numbers.  That kid's offer from Ohio St. was for safety only for a reason.

Yes, but the rumors were that we got an upgrade over him (at his theoretical position of WR). Some have said Lewis, but some OB rumors have talked about a blue chip upgrade over Powell.

Mike Roach is reporting that the Stanford side is no longer confident in Higgins.

A couple of hints on OB of Texas feeling they got an upgrade over Powell at WR, I have to think it could be Higgins. Even El Mahico said it was a blue chip upgrade. I know they are different types of WR, but this fits the description.

  7. Our conference has an extra game/year against each other. Our conference advertises "the hardest path to the CFP."

Meanwhile, the $EC has inflated ranks and records. It's laughable that next year Aggie will play Georgia for the first time since joining the $EC.

It's an uneven playing field, and Bowlsby and the rest of the buffoons in power don't know how to run a conference.

  8. Get ready for 9 months of Jumbo selling "2nd in the $EC west!"

At least he can sell recruits something tangible, since 2nd in the west is their ceiling as a program.

They are lucky they only got kentucky and South carolina from the east while somehow managing to avoid Georgia for the 7th year in a row.

    What I’m told...

    - Shane Buechele had his best day of the pre-season. He ran with the first team the majority of practice and “earned it”. I was also told that Sam Ehlinger looked almost “lethargic” at times yesterday. I’m told that before anyone reads too much into things. After all, this could be a blip for both players. It’s not what either has shown on a consistent basis as yet.

    - Chip mentioned Moro Ojomo in his notes and I was told something very similar. Ojomo crushed the reserve OL multiple times. In fact, I’m told he did it on consecutive plays and that got Todd Orlando particularly excited.

    - I’m told Kobe Boyce, in the absence of Davante Davis, was once again the starting corner opposite Kris Boyd. Anthony Cook is running second team.

    - The mix of Byron Vaughns and Joseph Ossai is an interesting one that the coaches are trying to sort through. As has been reported elsewhere, I’m told Ossai is ahead of Vaughn’s but that Vaughns is “active”.

    - I’m told Cam Townsend was running second team behind Anthony Wheeler with Ayodele Adeoye currently on the shelf.

    - Jerrod Heard is in danger of becoming an after-thought. He just isn’t producing comparatively nor is he improving his receiver skills at a rate commensurate with still being a relative newcomer to the position. Much has been made about the emergence of freshmen Josh Moore and Jordan Pouncey but Heard isn’t doing himself any favors. “You can’t be just a guy and play the slot. That’s not gonna cut it,” I was told of Heard.

    - I’m told Denzel Okafor may have had his best all-around practice of his career yesterday. Again, I’m told to caution being too optimistic but Okafor is starting to have more good days than bad.

  10. Let's not forget that QB recruiting is still the single most important position group and can define a recruiting class as great. Herman got the qb that Jimbo tried to recruit this class in Roschon Johnson, and if Herman can convince Hornsby to join Card for 2020, that is what you call a knockout type of blow for those Aggie lurkers.

Obviously we need to keep reeling in a minimum of 2 blue chip OL paired with 2-3 high ceiling prospects and our OL will be in good enough shape with proper continuity/development.

DL 2018 was acceptable but we arent to Alabama/Clemson/Ohio St level yet. We wont be till we start winning on the field. I just hope we don't have to pay for Giles sins this year.

So yes, Herman is owning this state in QB recruiting for all the aggies out there. Winning is now the most important factor for us going forward.

You can talk about him being from Ohio all you want, but if our offense didn't suck ass, he'd be a Longhorn.  The defense has tangible evidence of improvement under Orlando, but the offense is still selling hope, and you can only sell hope for so long.

  13. Losing Wilson sucks, not gonna spread fake news by stating otherwise.

However, Big 12 offensive production is due to the systems and coaching, not 1 player in particular, unless it's at QB and they fit the system. Between Rising, Thompson, Johnson and the 2 guys on campus I believe we will eventually have that QB sooner than later.

Getting the right offense in place sooner than later (which will also bring winning) is the thing that matters most importantly, not trying to belittle if we don't end up signing Wilson.
