Having a tough time deciding if I think the quoted tweet (for tweeting at a recruit) or the response (as the sentiment applies specifically to McCutchin) is dumber... Probably the quoted the tweet.
Point of post was the the little diva acorn doesn’t fall far from the big diva tree.

Herman is a salesman. It is his job to convince Bru's family to file the appeal paperwork ASAP.
Would it have made any difference with this young man? I don't know, but you have to take your best shot.
The buck stops with Tom on this one.
Herman is not a salesman, he is a football coach and recruiter. He successfully recruited Bru to Texas with second effort, and the kid has been through Spring practice and a semester of school.
At this point, either Bru wants to be here or he needs to move on. You can’t have this wishy-washy lack of commitment in the locker room. That is how you lose a team.

You lasted into 2008? I was a casualty of the 2001 Big 12 game. After a fifth of SOCO in my hotel room in Arlington I pretty much set out to end my career at HF in a mother fucking blaze of glory. I worked for an investment back in NY at the time and that weekend was my only weekend off of the entire year. It added to the sting of Simmpocolypse that I had to work for the next 12 months straight without a day off.
Fuck that site and the people who moderated the content.
Katy suspended me after the 1999 B12 championship game loss to Nebraska when I wrote “it’s Wednesday and the husker tight end is still running around wide open”. My less than civil response to the suspension led to a permaban.
Fuck Katy in her fat goat ass.

@JerryHubbard looks like aggy thinks Foster is in the bag looking at the comments. Aggy tears to come??
According to mom (who is an Ag), Bryce has been locked in to UT since he went to Mack Brown camp several years ago. It’s recruiting, so standard disclaimers apply, but he loves coach Hand and talks to him regularly.
His brother walked on at A&M, but is not pushing him that way either. Mom is also good with UT as his choice.
The kid is a man-child with great feet from his shot/discus training.

Question, as I had seen blood doping addressed up thread. Basically what is it, and how is it detected? Is it a part of the usual PED testing?
There is method of self blood doping where the athlete trains at altitude (in a low oxygen environment). The red blood cells increase their concentration of 2,3 DPG that decreases hemoglobin affinity for oxygen. That shifts the oxyhemoglobin dissociation curve to the right, allowing more oxygen to be delivered during exercise or competition.
The athlete can bag some of this blood and transfuse it before a competition at sea level.

As both a physician and the father of a Div I athlete, I can’t disagree more.
These are 18yo knuckleheads thrust into a very competitive environment. If steroids are the culture, most will participate or get left behind. And the medical downside for many will not be realized until years later. We are talking about the health of kids. Put me firmly in the “heavy testing, harsh penalty” crowd.

You guys get too emotional about this shit. I hope he stays, it would be nice to have him here one more year. But if he goes, he goes. It ain’t going to make or break our offense. Thanks for your time, go make the Longhorn nation proud in the league. Ok cool. Hook em. 🤘

Break the Katy Taylor curse Coach Hand.
OL Hayden Conner, Katy Taylor (2021) — "I just sent Coach (Herb) Hand a text! Amazing win and will definitely open some eyes on what Texas is building. Happy for Elijah (Rodriguez) and the o-line and everything they accomplished this year."
OL Bryce Foster, Katy Taylor (2021) — "They dominated upfront. Period. Bevo set the tone."
Foster won’t wait until his senior year to commit to Texas. He will pull the trigger early unless Hand leaves.
Conner is leaning hard to UT now, but will probably let his recruitment play out a little longer.
Unfortunately Jackson appears to slightly favor aggy or OOS at this time, but is still pretty open.

Baker is a very talented QB.
He is also a grade-A cunt.
These are not mutually exclusive.
Not sure what the argument is here.

There are some pretty big cunts on this thread.
Hager is what he is. A 3 star late addition / steal from Baylor. If we had better options, they would have been playing, or you should be criticizing the coaches for playing an inferior player.
We are all pretty pissed after yesterday, but let’s not eat our own.

I’m gonna side with the American Academy of Pediatrics versus any study that says there are health and developmental benefits for corporal punishment.
But then, I like fact-based science, not “back in my day” anecdotal evidence. So I may be biased.
As a physician that has read thousands of studies over the years that contradict each other, I laugh at your definition of “fact-based science”.
I am not in any way advocating physical discipline measures. Just pointing out that all studies, especially retrospective behavioral outcome studies, should be read with a healthy dose of skepticism.

I pitched for 2 yrs at a SWC school before I realized I could never make a living at it (same time as Clemens, Schiraldi, Capel at UT), and my son played basketball at TCU in Mountain West days.

Here is what I know (have been out of town for last month so have not talked to family in a while).
Bryce has been UT fan for years - Mack Brown football camps, etc... Loves coach Hand. But has been unhappy with repeated attempts by UT coaches to push spring football over track. “You will miss a lot of football stuff if you continue throwing in college” kind of comments. Also - family a little unhappy that Herman still has not sat down with Bryce 1on 1.
Contrast that to OU. Lincoln Riley has had more than one personal session with him - even presenting him with his future football and track schedule - down to daily detailed workout times. They are encouraging him to throw. It sounds like A&M (mom’s and brother’s alma maters) is working the same track-friendly angle.
Foster is a nationally ranked discus/shot athlete. Possibly olympic level. Honestly, it sounds like the coaches are poisoning this recruitment by marginalizing his track interest.
I go back to work Monday and will get more info.
