I made the mistake of telling a guy from Worcester that he didn’t sound like what the movies make them out to sound like. He was not amused, and informed me that’s because he went to school past the third grade. That the accent you hear in movies like The Town is only carried by mouth breathing idiots. Needless to say that was the last conversation I had with him that week.
Horseshit. They all sound like that, from Southie dock workers to Cambridge PhDs to the motherfucking 35th President of the United States. /noCR

And of course AAs total lack of on board entertainment.
Point of order...AA has fleetwide onboard entertainment, unless WiFi on your specific aircraft was inop or you were flying a 50-seater (0% chance of the latter on SFO-LAX-AUS). Yeah yeah no seatback IFE screen, but they have a very solid streaming library, and it's 100% free. So unless you're one of the 0.0000001% who still doesn't have a smartphone/tablet/laptop in the year 2025, you had onboard entertainment.

Crew oxygen cylinders are under the flight deck, any crew-initiated logbook items were likely related to low fill, which is only a problem in the event of cabin depressurization above 10,000 ft. I’ll eat my hat if this was in any way related to crew O2.
Not saying maintenance wasn’t an issue here, but this feels like media grasping at straws.

Or perhaps a better approach is go get a single lesson for some basic swing work and let him quickly tell you what your specs probably are
On 4/15/2025 at 8:30 AM, heso said:This is the answer. Every dollar a beginner puts into clubs beyond just having something made in the last 20 years before getting at least one lesson is wasted money in my opinion. The level of enjoyment of the game someone will have by being started on the right path to a proper swing vs buying new clubs and not being able to swing them is immeasurable.
Being able to shoot in the neighborhood of 100 with shit clubs is massively more fun than writing down 126 without counting all of the mis-hits with new clubs.
Get 3 lessons and get to the range at least half a dozen times between them to work in what he’s teaching you. Whatever cadence allows you to get to the range enough between the lessons.
That would potentially take years off of the learning curve. Do it before you build a bunch of bullshit faults into your swing.
Then you can make an informed decision on your clubs.
Anyone have any lesson recs in the N. Dallas burbs area?..bonus points if they can tolerate a lefty. Topgolf and Putt-Putt are the extent of my experience, but friends in FW/Austin/Houston are semi-regulars and I'd like to start participating beyond getting drunk in the cart.

If they avoid taking a qb in the 1st round, it's a win for them.
Oh that gif was 100% directed at Hunter. Put your foot down about playing both ways?..congrats, you're stuck with that miserable franchise in Cleveland for the next 3-4 years, minimum.

I agree with your skepticism, but what imma typed is currently correct. They were talking about it this morning on XM 84. He's consistently told all teams that if they're not planning on playing him both ways, a lot, then they shouldn't draft him. Apparently, many folks around the NFL think that the Browns are okay with that and plan on drafting him at their early slot in the 1st.

I'd get the hell out of Pittsburgh as well. The offensive line is total crap. The coaching for the offensive line has been crap since Mike Munchak quit.
I like Harris and believe he needs a fresh start. I wish him well.
The Steelers are a mess. It's a shame. Art Rooney II is not living up to how his father, Dan, ran the team. This is crap.

Denver-Stapleton.
Boom is cool, and I hope they succeed. To me, supersonic commercial transportation is far more interesting/value-added than landing a rocket booster on a tower, or whatever other media stunt Elon is up to these days. But as mentioned upthread, the airline industry is largely unprofitable, so any new ops spec candidates will have a mountain of a business case to climb.

I'm not in hydraulics but I do aviation consulting for a living.
The 737 has Krueger flaps, which are considered a LE device.
