Let’s be objective: Texas did (and still does) get credit for that. Last week Texas was the highest ranked two-loss team in the CFP  rankings, ahead of several one loss teams. Squarely in the field for the CFP, even with the ACC and G5 participants. In fact, it can be fairly said that the tOSU loss wasn’t punishing Texas, although it wasn’t rewarded as a win. Had that been the only L on the schedule Texas would maybe have been the highest 1L team, and in the bye.

This week: Texas is the highest 3 loss team in the rankings. Ahead of name brands like Michigan with fewer losses. A small but existent path to the playoff. The 2L teams in front of you have excellent to good wins: USC, Bama, Mizzou, Notre Dame, Georgia, Tennessee, among others. All teams currently ranked in the CFP. They don’t have losses to sub-.500 teams, they don’t have non-competitive losses, they have mostly put away inferior teams in regulation.

There’s no unfair treatment here. Texas is in the mix with teams that have fewer losses and well ahead any other 3 loss teams that are all well and truly out of the convo. They are getting credit foe that schedule.

    24 team playoff!

I don't understand why our odds of winning were 25% after getting the score to 14-10, but I'm sure my brain is broken.  That looks like a very flawed metric to me, especially given the fact that anyone watching the second half acknowledged that Texas was shaking off the first half yips and starting to play to potential.

Care to explain that 25% number?  Perhaps without being an insulting ass?

The explanation is that a lot of those win percentage graphs are crude.  The only way you could be that big an underdog at 14-10 is it you were averaging one yard per play but somehow scored 10 points off unforced fumbles.

    Yes. Discussed up thread already.

Did that make the nightly news at the time?  If that happened today, toy sword or not, the social media blitz would force the local authorities to arrest the royal guardsman or whatever he is.

If SC could stop being morons and take football seriously and hire a competent AD, there's no reason they can't make the CFP occasionally. They're in one of two of the beet conferences, a recruiting hotbed, and they just continue to fail. If aggy can make a CFP, SC should be able to as well. They're not too dissimilar in being routinely 8 win programs. They need to hire a competent AD who can lure a coach. You gotta spend money to make money.

SCe got serious a generation ago hiring Holtz & Spurier.  It takes more than serious in that spot though; #2 in a state without a huge talent base, lots of nearby competitors.

That Pitt team is a fraud. So is Miami. Who beat you. Your best win is what - a middling SC team?

Who is the SEC's best win, besides others from the SEC?

Is that team any good?  Do they deserve to be in the CFP?   If that team was the best win of the entire conference then is the conference really proven?

History of that happening there though, when the turd pulled his sword on the Pony cheerleader, the cop went after the cheerleader and not the guy brandishing the sword.

    Which posed more danger?

Pitt/USC/Navy.  Of the three I would guess that two will finish near the top of their conf.

Jump on the ball you dumb fuck

In HS they said the 'only right way' was to fall so your body blocks anyone else from recovering.   A LOT of players bend at the waist and try to scoop it.

Just a reminder when you talk with your aggy friends and family: they can't be happy or excited about this comeback win against a crap team in the 2nd half when the game was all but lost.

These F'ups usually take place on the road. Even Saban dropped one to Spurrier.   This was a home game for A&M.

Not everyone can schedule a bunch of service academies and successfully sell it to a biased CFB media as a “tough schedule.”

The computers have ND's schedule now about 15th.  IT will surely end in the top 25.

That is generally how CFB works for teams in actual conferences yes

No this year is unusually polarized.  The only top vs bottom upset I can think of is your loss to UF.  Or it would have been unusual before.  Maybe NIL has destroyed the annual #1 Southern Cal @ unranked Oregon State WTF!? tradition.

When BYU couldn’t do anything today but trip over there own dicks it was because they suck at football

When LSU does the same thing it’s because Alabama is well, Alabama

and when Bama gets destroyed by barely bowl eligible FSU it's because,

well I'll get back to you.  Alhtough I likely won't

These LSU WR’s either make insane catches or drop everything

Two scores down with 4 min left.  LEt's see how many plays that LSU runs for <10 yards.

So far they are 3 for 3 in their first minute.
