OK, let's play out your position.  Let's call the players what they are, professionals.  The National Football League has self imposed guardrails to try to create some level of competitive balance.  It's called the salary cap.  Precisely what Prime is suggesting.  That's how markets like Kansas City and in hoops OKC can compete with markets like LA, NYC, Chicago, etc.  Sure it's great as a Dodger fan to be able to spend wildly to field the most competitive team they can, but that is also why most people hate the Dodgers.  It's the same in CFB.  If there are no limits to what players can earn, then it'll be OSU, Texas, Oregon, Bama, Georgia etc who really are the only teams who have a realistic chance.  Is that good for the game?  Honest question.  And TRY to look at it as objectively as you can, as if you have zero affiliation to any team.

How would you feel about compensation "guardrails" being implemented in your line of work?

Whatever SBB's line of work actually is, he supports guardrails to maintain competitive balance.

Really enjoyed the movie.  Only slight criticism

Kind of felt the climax of the movie - Pitt winning - he should've beaten someone, rather than the top 2 guys take each other out.  I get the silent flying thing, just felt we needed that "can he do it?" moment rather than what seemed like a "just don't wreck" moment where you see no other cars.

I liked it a lot.  My quibble is that a movie that long needs to build up the rivals.  They should have followed up with the interviews and show us why Ferrari and Mercedes are the big dogs

"Grand Canyon University" sounds like one of those schools that had to forgive all their student loan debt for being, well... not an actual university. Ouch

Pretty damn close, shady as fuck. Still for profit traded on NASDAQ. From 1000 students in 2008 to 17,000 in 2017 to over 100,000 today, mostly online. Best comment I saw was "next up University of Phoenix and Southern New Hampshire University."

My cop friend opened Maps and said unnecessarily 'Don't point up a girl between in this block, we're running a lot of stings.'  I looked at the streets and said That's around GCU.

Guy holds a loaded gun pointed at another guy's face. Other guy smirks and doesn't take it seriously. Then gun guy cocks the gun. Now other guy stops smirking and is suddenly scared.

I would think just having the loaded gun pointed at my face would be enough for me to take the situation seriously.

And why is the gun never cocked beforehand by the murderer?

The winner might actually be Quint/Shaw scratching his fingernails on the chalkboard in Jaws but I offer this submission based on the actor and his meaning to this fanbase:

So weird that McConaughey and Renee Zellweger were completely unknown.  Then they headlined one of the TCM sequels.

It's Vader and then everyone else.  Even that dog knew it.

    How about Ivan Drago?

You could probably pull up 20 examples for that guy. He's a character actor that's been around a long time.

He also has very distinctive face and eyes.  Unless he was wearing different colored contacts, he's pretty recognizable.

I always liked those Canadian journeymen actors perpetually playing 2nd fiddle, Coates may be their king.  The choice depends how strictly we want to follow the thread title.  In TWD it looks like he got an anti-nose job.

I always like how the security guard/cop comes and restrains the SMU cheerleader, not the dipshit brandishing the deadly fucking weapon.

It shows how much the authorities have changed.  During a somewhat less than brawl level fight after Mich-Ohio St, the cops ran out and used pepper spray on the Michigan players.

Hot as fuck in "Where No Man Has Gone Before" in the '66 season of Star Trek

Wrong hotlips.  Sally Kellerman RIP played Maj Houlihan in the MASH movie, and tall blonde in Star Trek TOS Where No Man Has Gone Before; with Gary Lockwood RIP.

Loretta Swit played her in the tv show.  We are down both hotlips.
