Poor incel guy. If only the girls would talk to me! But they probably saw what he was: the kind of person that would brutally murder four people for no reason. A waste of creepy space. Probably took all sorts of meds and had therapy and parents who cared and tried. The truth is he is just an asshole. A creepy life isn’t fair asshole. Either lock these fucks up for LIFE or shoot them. There is no pill that fixes this. No counselor. No therapy. He’s evil.

    You’re first on my list.

How about do the best job possible to discover the truth, adhere to that and make the most rational decision possible based on it.  Reveal that truth to the public and give the honest reasons for your decision.  If people vilify you for that, fuck them.  I'm so tired of the optics bullshit, guilty until proven innocent, every accusation is a death sentence state of our society.

Best post in the entire thread.

I hadn't looked at it as a temporary problem. So the criminal trial approaches, the lady makes her deal, Beard's case gets dismissed when she declines to testify. This is before the start of the next season. So it is evident, though unspoken, what happened. Does the University keep Beard? If he was exonerated, I would be good with that. Knowing that he likely beat up a woman, albeit an apparent bitch on rails, and paid his way out; I'm not real comfortable with that. Would I enjoy a dominant basketball program? Certainly I would. But that's condoning abuse so long as it benefits UT basketball, and I'm not OK with that. Bad message. I would say slapping a bitch around is not our standard.

he is not accused of "beating up" or even "slapping".

Do you think Texas is keeping Beard?

If it comes out that he was restraining a violent woman, then yes. If we find out that he was roughing her up because he was angry, then no. I haven't even heard his side, just what she said. And she is the one that admitted to being mad enough that he was ignoring her to break his glasses. That shows she might be capable of becoming violent.

I respect all the people who say “never hit a woman”.  In general that’s what you strive to do.  But if you’ve ever had a batshit crazy, rather athletic woman attacking the fuck out of you, like trying to gouge your eyes out, you are going to be surprised.   That shit happens and anybody who says “never hit a woman”, fuck that.

Everything in the police report is actions of a man trying to do anything BUT hit the woman. I don't think she mentions at all about him hitting her. He throws her, pushes her, bites her, "chokes" her. All the things that one could associate to a man trying to get a woman off you while trying very hard not to hit her. I just find it interesting no mention in the police report of him actually hitting her, except maybe him hitting her glasses off of her.
