College Station is a good “traditional and conservative” town. Would not live there but perfect for college. You’re somewhat close to the major cities in Texas: Houston, Austin, Dallas.

A&M has very beautiful women. Especially in the business school.

But it is very cringe when you’re watching the game on ESPN and the camera pans to the milk men and corp turds. The basketball team has a womens dance team for gods sake.

People only go to midnight yell. 1. Primarily for freshman. 2. It’s tradition to kiss your date. If you go there for any other reason you’re a loooooooserrrr.

At this point most rational A&M fans suffer from a disease what is know as “Battered Aggie Syndrome” Our hopes get raised every year just to get destroyed.

A&M is just cursed. In recent memory:

2012: one loss from making SEC championship.

2020: Lose the number 4 spot to Notre Dame who always gets blown out.

2021: Beat Alabama. But can’t beat Mississippi schools.

2021: Cant beat OU in CWS but ole piss can.

And lastly I’d like to add. Texags is a joke of a website, and forum. Frick the sunshine pumpers over there and chin pubes.

Also frick the A&M administration as well. That national championship trophy picture is an embarrassment. Please stop calling me asking for donations.

In the last hour I’ve had some new people reach out to me to shed some light on the events of the day. I don’t know them well but their stories are congruent so I’m inclined to believe them. I appreciate them for reaching out.

If they’re accurate, and I think they are, the read should have been Quinn Ewers was going to win the job, and probably even before the first scrimmage if not before camp. Yes, Ewers and Card have been pretty even throughout August but the staff had a good idea it was going with Ewers for at least the last week, but probably well before then.

How did we run bad info? Well, it aligned with what we were hearing about Card having the marginally better camp. It also aligned with some other, more private data points. We clearly over-weighted one particular source’s info. He has been very good to us in the past, and like I said, it aligned with some other stuff. Confirmation bias is probably the number one credibility killer in this line of work.

Given the context of this competition, it’s not very conventional. So even though we believe Card has been a little bit ahead on the field right now, it doesn’t mean he has clear advantages across the board.

We’ve heard one of the things that really tilted this in Quinn’s favor was the perception they’ll be able to rely on 12 personnel and run play-action to simplify Ewers’ decision making. He’s also been spending a lot of extra time with AJ Milwee and we can deduce that’s paying dividends in the minds of the coaches. And yes, he was really good in the red zone recently (but this was likely decided before then).

Very frustrating day personally. I care about being right almost more than anything else. Hopefully it was a good day for the program, though.

    This is goddamn art work.

Sounds like we’re punting the Alabama game so as not to soil Ewers’ confidence early by allowing a Card to be the sacrificial lamb.  Also keeps Card from transferring.  Of course the flip side of that statement is if you thought Maalik Murphy had shown enough, maybe you wouldn’t care about Card transferring, but you’d still be concerned about sending Ewers out there against Bama for his 1st or 2nd college game action

Why does this keep becoming a talking point? Never going to happen, if he names Card then that’s the guy. Not saying if it is a smart move or not.

I still say we should unleash the Power I 2 TE Smash Mouth with Brooks and Blue in front of Bijan and run it down Bama’s throat!  Now that RoJo may be back, do this with him at the QB as a WildCat.

Great idea. We will only lose by 60 then.

I was wondering if pushing Campbell to Center might be a way to get him on the field if he doesn't overtake Conner. Or move Conner inside to center.

Campbell is left handed, center is out.

This by itself? Sure. The problem is that there are plenty of people saying he's already been in the doghouse because he can't stop doing stupid shit to get himself in trouble. The list of guys that left Alabama due to being a headcase or immature and panned out elsewhere is pretty damn short.

Give me about 4 more of exactly the same and let’s go win a championship.
