  1. Up early this morning in Pittsburgh and heading to Morgantown shortly. Any idea where fellow longhorns are meeting up?
  2. Texas BBQ News Related. Rick Schmidt of Kreuz Market has passed away. Roy Perez, their pitmaster, mentioned it on facebook.
  3. Any BBQ worth stopping for in/near Palestine?
  4. Just saw this. What's going on with Franklin BBQ? https://bryannorton.podbean.com/e/tfp-bbq-ep-65-changes-at-franklin-barbecue/
  5. So, I completed a BBQ crawl this weekend starting from Austin and went throughout Houston. Got to Snow's early, then hit up Truth and then tried Roegel's, Pinkerton's, Gatlins, Pit Room, Killen's. Was hoping to get Tejas and Corkscrew in, but couldn't make it in time Saturday. Truth was as badass as usual. Very, very solid offerings from Roegel's, Pinkerton's and Pit Room. Killen's was pretty good (they had Wagyu burnt ends that day), and Gatlins was very pedestrian. I got fatty brisket, sausage and ribs at all places as a comparison. Overall, I was very impressed with quite a few Houston joints. I could see the next top spot coming from one of those spots.
  6. Heavy's BBQ in Hondo seemed worse than what Bill Miller's would be. I seriously have no idea how that place made any top list.
