Dumb hypothetical but on the second to last possession with 4 yds to go on the seven, does anybody think Sweat or Murphy could have carried the ball and at least half of the Washington defense for at least a first down?

Hello, Mr. Kasem! I’m a longtime listener, first time caller. I’d like to dedicate a song to the University of Iowa and University of Louisville football teams.

Seat is heating up for MB. A lot of Mack’s greatest hits quoted. Felt like I was reading a Red River Recap.
Here is the summary paragraph from the article:
“Athletic director Bubba Cunningham will have to find a replacement for Brown eventually whether Brown retires on his own or is forced out. Yes, he's one of the few active national championship winning coaches and will always have a special place in Tar Heel history, but this was never meant to be a permanent solution. The grass might not be greener after he's gone, but the culture at Carolina needs a different shade of blue whether he stays or goes.”

In an interesting side note two of my friends that are big War Eagle fans reached out with props.
They are the OG Aggies of the SEC. They hate Bama more than they love Auburn.

Those talons. Someone looks like they just got their nails done.
We have a mating pair of hawks in our neughborhood. Our dog often finds disemboweled rabbits in our backyard. One evening she was barking constantly at a tree along our fence line and couldn’t be distracted. I thought there might be a squirrel or raccoon she had treed. I went to go distract her and saw a decapitated and disemboweled rabbit hanging from the branches.

My wife just played the show podcast. I was blown away to learn that Dita Beard was portrayed by Kathleen Turner. I did not recognize her.
Also, I will add another voice to the chorus that Theroux has Liddy’s voice nailed down.
According to at least one Watergate historian the Project Gemstone pitch is pretty close to real life with the biggest exception was that Hunt was not there.

This show had me in stitches. Haven’t laughed this much in a while. Liddy’s album he played for the Hints on their first visit-OMG!
Scheisse!!

OK, I liked the Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049 throwbacks, though.
I felt like there were a couple of nods to Logan’s Run thrown in, as well.

The damn robot being sad and wanting to stay at the home to make sure Marva wasn't coming back. Like a dog waiting on his master to return. The writing is so good. I wonder what happened along the way to make him such a scared robot. When they did the flashback to when Marva and Klem found Andor, the robot was brave and taking a protective role. Now, he's almost like Andor's little kid brother. I have the feeling that changes next week during her funeral and he somehow sacrifices himself to save Andor.

Yeah, can’t help but feel sad for the droid. Although, I had to laugh when I realized his name is literally “be too emo” - B2EMO. The poor little guy can’t help it.

The Peppermill is like the one bright spot in all of Reno.
Yosemite is a pretty long haul from Reno. I don't think you can drive down, do the park, and drive back to Reno or Tahoe in a day. Most of the cool stuff is on the west end so you'd want to enter from there. All of the 'shortcuts' you see on the map are windy mountain roads. But I don't think you have to worry about snow in late Oct.
Thanks. We were thinking of going from Reno to Stateline on Friday night. Someone had mentioned a couple of hour drive to Yosemite. Now that I have looked, we would probably be looking closer to a 4-5 hour drive to the valley to see El Capitan. I am hoping that snow won't put a damper on the ability to drive around. I am guessing any camping in Yosemite has been reserved many months in advance.

Stay in Tahoe and let the wife commute to Reno. I’m serious… Reno is a grade A jizz stain.
Ha, well her job has put her up in the hotel/casino where the conference is being held. I think it is the Peppermill. Is it going to be that bad?
-
My wife has to go to a work conference Oct 26-28 in Reno. I am going to join her and we are going to stay through the weekend. We were hoping to head down to Lake Tahoe and maybe a day trip to Yosemite.
It appears we will be there during a shoulder season when a lot of things are closed. We were hoping to take the gondola up to Heavenly but it is among the things not open at that time.
Would appreciate some ideas for activities. We were hoping to do some hikes, but can’t get too strenuous due to her being on her second artificial ankle. I have considered renting a minivan and “camping” in it at one of campgrounds (any rec’s there?), but not sure if that is feasible. We’re also unsure of the weather. How likely would it be to need chains during the last week of October?

Yep. I can’t stand Red Bull, but that was all on Russell. Checo did what he had to do

LOL, my first thought was fans for a “turbo” boost. What’s up with the Longhorn jersey, though? Wonder if he is a foreign student home on break, just a fan of Texas Football, or was this a replica jersey from our 2009/10 national championship game that was distributed internationally.
