  1. Ted's moved away from Pittsburgh and left no forwarding address (after being slapped around on Twitter). Now he's about the National Guard (in case you missed it, read the Politico article about the NG being removed from the Capitol fracas):

Ok, a couple of issues with this. My first and biggest issue is Cruz self-righteously commenting on it. The National Guard wouldn’t even have been needed were it not for seditious politicians like DJT, Cruze, Hawkeye, Gaetz, et al stirring up their followers.

Second, this may be a little controversial, but aren’t these soldiers? Don’t they train to fight wars in uncomfortable climates and rough conditions? Don’t they bivouac in conditions far worse than outside in the National Mall or in parking decks? I mean sure, take care of them if we can, but I’m not getting the complete outrage over their circumstances. I guess they can’t dig latrines in the National Mall, so there’s that.

I don’t think many realize that the Republicans communications strategy is, as usual, superior to the Democrats. If Democrats don’t figure out a way to finally fix their messaging issues, this mess between Dems/Pubs is going to get way worse.

Here is an example. The Pubs are hammering unity. Trump is focusing solely on his speech, NOT his continuous banging of the election fraud drum.

The Dems are focusing mostly on the general topic of inciting, but NOT linking it much to his false claims of election fraud. That is the real inciting that has been happening, and the evidence on that is overwhelming - courts, officials, etc.

The public is starting to focus on the words in his speech, and not his pattern of behavior over election fraud. Many will conclude, just like on Russia, just like on Ukraine, and just like several other issues, that it’s too difficult to conclusively say Trump is guilty based solely on his speech.

Then, when conviction fails the Dems will look like the dividers. It’s all positioning and messaging and the Dems suck at it.

I fear you are correct. The Republicans have proved that they can state a lie or mistruth and keep repeating it until it becomes reality. The Dems have  seemed to cling to being true to their own individual ethics. without uniting behind a single message.

  3. So basically, according to the Republicans are saying is this crime should not be punished because he only has another week left in office. Hmmm, so if a school principal assaults a child a week before he is due to retire he should be allowed to finish out the school year. Sounds about right...

  4. Well, I think the Aggies have answered the question about whether or not they belonged in the playoffs.
Haha. Announcer says this may be [/img]greatest Aggie team ever. No conference championship. No conference championship game. Bowl victory over ACC also ran missing a huge chunk of offensive production and a leading defender due to opt outs.
    Fuck aggy.

    FIFY

Hardly any mention of UNC opt-outs, while we were reminded of The Gata’s opt-outs about every other play

Aggie is a noun, like "that guy is an Aggie."

Aggy is a verb, like "that guy is Aggy."

Umm, MK, I think your second example is an adjective, not a verb.

I am in the camp of the misspellings and all lowercase are typical characteristics of the Aggie mentality.

Have you seen our HC? Yes, I absolutely think Liberty would beat us. A Baylor team with 2 days to prepare almost came back to beat us. Let that sink in. We lost to Maryland with no HC the year prior. You think Liberty wouldn't beat us? Lol ok.

Look, I hate therman as much as the next guy. I never wanted him at Texas in the first place. Liberty is not gonna "roll" Texas even if Charlie comes back to coach.

Liberty would roll us. The fuck are they doing ranked behind us?

Because they are Liberty and they just lost to NC State? Have you looked at their schedule and their opponents' records?

Get a grip. By the way this is not meant to indicate our ranking is deserved or valid, but do you seriously think Liberty would roll Texas?

    EDIT to Add Data:

    Opp. Result Score Opp. Rec.

    @ WKU W 30-24 (4-6)

    vs FIU W 36-34 (0-5)

    vs UNA W 28-7 (0-4)

    vs ULM W 40-7 (0-8)

    @ SYR W 38-21 (1-8)

    vs USM W 56-35 (2-7)

    @ VT W 38-35 (4-5)

    vs WCU W 58-14 (0-2)

    @ NCST L 15-14 (6-3)

They've only played one team with a winning record, and lost.

  8. So let me get this straight. All the flag waving supposedly "American patriots who support the military" and have spent a lifetime hating on librul france, "who we had to save in WW2", are congregating with nationals from the country who's people took down the WTC buildings on a site with a french name.

  9. CDC has a giant sociopath dildo that he is going to ram up your ass.  Then when you try to clean your dripping ass he is going to warn you of the importance of personal responsibility.  Urban Meyer and CDC are going to laugh while you wipe your face with some TCU sweat towels.

  10.   I’ve also been working remotely and quarantining since March with no end in sight because a crazy cult won’t take COVID seriously for political reasons.  That probably would not have been as bad, or as bleak looking for the winter, with a sane Republican or Democrat as President.
Also, many personal relationships have been affected on some level because Trump is a maniac who has become an all encompassing presence in so many people’s lives.   Everything is somehow tied to politics and grievances now with some people, even in just ordinary life.  You can’t have conversations about the weather without them turning it to politics and culture war.  Many of his supporters are angrier and more combative in all aspects of life than people used to be.   Morality has been set aside.  Selfishness is now a virtue, and people embrace the idea that the ends justify the means.  He’s quite influential on daily life, actually.
I was a Republican my entire life until Trump, and I don’t even recognize many of these people anymore - including some family members.  He stokes really negative impulses in people and is destructive to happiness, even to his supporters who substitute rage for joy.  This has been like a national Faustian bargain.

This is absolutely my existence. I am shocked at what the Aliquam Deus has brought out in so many friends and family members.
