  3. RIP, Ric. The cars provided the soundtrack to my teens and early 20s.

Last Friday I was actually searching for some of their early concerts and listed to a free live TV show the BBC did called "Rock goes to College" where they featured up and coming bands in free concerts on various college campuses each week. The Cars performed for the show in 1978 at the University of Sussex in Brighton. I have seen this before, but don't think I've ever noticed one asshole in the audience shouting "Thank God it's free" right before the band starts Dont Cha Stop.

    Thank God it's free!

How do you embed the youtube videos?

Holy shit, just catching up.  Those responses from LSU fans-- I mean, is this the real life?  That can't be real.  Those can't be real people.  Nobody could possibly be that stupid.  Right?

Dude, that’s what has dumbfounded us all this week and how this thread got to 26 pages. Apparently, A good portion of the LSU fan base is on par with the ags.

I work for the NWS and we've been trying for DECADES to come up with some sort of apparatus to record temperatures!  I'm excited to see what sort of doo-hickey they've jury-rigged to do this.  It could be a game changer in the weather industry!!

No point. The people of La wouldn’t pay attention to data from the NWS anyway.

That was only the beginning. He got distracted after 9/11 for about a decade, but he never truly left. We were put here to be punished, as the seasons 2010-2017 explicitly attest.

Nay, nay. We ARE being punished. Almost immediately after 9/11 we had the 2001 BigXII championship game debacle. Within that decade we also had the 2000 (I know, before 9/11) - 2004 games with OU, and the 2008 Tech travesty.

I guess God does love us: Burnt orange sunsets and Hebrews 12:6 "because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son."

This just sucks shit. We should be talking about how much our defense sucks and telling all the LSU fans to go beat up on A&M and Bama and we will see them next year. Instead we get this whisper campaign and smears from LSU's administration.

When A&M joined the SEC and thumped its chest about its big big big rivalry with LSU, I gave LSU the benefit of the doubt and took the position that it wouldn't be a rivalry because LSU was a serious program.

Now I kinda think maybe the Aggies understood their own. The two fan bases are indistinguishable at this point.

The difference between the aggy and LSU fan bases is the LSU fan base is much more self-loathing.  Aggy will take their loss to Clemson as a borderline win and LSU fans would consider it a season ender.

Otherwise, they're very similar as far as assholes.

I used to respect LSU. I was really looking forward to this game. They were one of the few teams that I could actually accept crowing about SECSECSEC because they have some history and hardware.

I remember A$M friends and fans whining and griping about some 5 or 10 year deal in the 90's that LSU backed out on and owed the ags some money (Imagine A$M getting pissy about money). I counted it up to typical ag bullshit. Now I am convinced it was true and that those two programs are kindred spirits. LSU comes out of DKR with difficult and gutsy road win and for some reason have to whine about being disrespected, making up shit along the way to discredit Texas. It's typical little brother crap we all have come come to know and expect from certain programs. I am not sure how Bama has put up with this mess all these years.

Just curious why you placed our band in the highest possible point in the stadium,  did not allow our cheerleaders on the field, cut our allotment of tickets, and gave our fans the worse possible seats in the stadium. Are these things you normally do?

Because your AD agreed to it in the contract and we will get the same next year in BR. We also paid your sorry asses an extra million dollars to compensate.

    https://www.tigerdroppings.com/lsu-football/heres-why-tickets-for-lsu-vs-texas-are-so-limited-for-tigers-fans/85161360/

    Quote

LSU executive deputy A.D. Verge Ausberry spoke to The Advocate this week and said that Texas fans will get 3,000 tickets in the upper deck of Tiger Stadium when the Longhorns come to Baton Rouge in 2020.

    quote:
"As a result, we reached an agreement with LSU to reduce the ticket allotment for the visiting school to 3,000 for this year's game in Austin as well as next season's matchup in Baton Rouge," Bianco said.

Fans are also upset also about LSU's entire allotment being in the upper deck, but executive deputy A.D. Verge Ausberry, who negotiated the original contract, said this week that UT fans will all be in the upper deck at Tiger Stadium for the Sept. 12, 2020 contest.

The contract that was amended last fall also called for an increase in the payouts to each team because fewer tickets are available.

LSU will be paid $1.5 million instead of $500,000 for this game; Texas will receive the same amount in 2020.

Clearly, Texas would not allow opposing cheerleaders on the field

And ZOMG, there is pictorial evidence of your poor team sweating it out in the sauna of the DKR visitor's locker room right on LSU's official photo gallery.

    Check out pictures 5,10, 11, 19, 25 and 31.

The conditions were inhumane. We should be so ashamed we let these poor kids suffer so.

You left out the part where UT officials  confiscated and sacrificed the firstborn of LSU guests

I think we're just going in circles now but, I'll explain it to you one more time, old man.

This little dance is a bit fun, huh?

So, once again, we'll try and help you out here.

LSU had legitimate injuries. UT cutting off the A/C exacerbated those injuries during the 2nd half. You cheated your way to a loss.

If there were legitimate injuries, the high school tactics ArmyBrat referred to, only serve to exacerbate the problem of believing the real injuries.

    3 minutes ago, TigerFan4538 said:

But please keep crying about how a high school team dunked on your sad excuse for a football program.

Nobody's crying on our side, or called LSU a high school team. Brat said the Tiggers used a high school tactic.

And conversely, the so-called "sad excuse of a football program" took your mighty SECSECSEC team to the wire while leaving 10-13 points off the board.

  11. 5 minutes ago, TigerFan4538 said:

A GIF response.. I rest my case. Just tell your fans to shut the fuck up when someone goes down with a legitimate injury because y'all are too dumb to tell the difference obviously.

How's this for a GIF response?

I think your mom is calling you home for dinner and to finish your cipherin' homework.

I did play football. I think I could have played better than Texas' DB's too with proper hydration and A/C.

Again, this makes your fanbase on here look truly dumb. They were in shape and hydrated. You cut the A/C off in 100 degree heat. We cramped because of it. Your fans booed even though your own players didn't have to deal with cheating bullshit.

There is a direct cause and effect relationship here. Yet you still want to act like these injuries were faked. I don't understand how a fanbase could collectively be so mentally inept.

Oh great we got a Boomer on our hands. Watch out everyone! Here comes the stories of practicing 5-a-days in 108 degree heat with nothing but a slice of watermelon for hydration.

Im sure you're tough. LSU was just tougher on Saturday. Hook em

Still having trouble with reading comprehension, I see.

You are the one calling yelling "I played football." Everybody here has said LSU won and had the better team Saturday.

With 12+ flops/cramps, was LSU tougher? What is the answer? Were your fellas out of condition, or are they flopping cheaters?

I've played football. It makes all the difference in the world both pregame and halftime to cool the body off after it has been overheated.

You would think UT would have enough money to get a fully functioning A/C or enough pride to play by the rules but sometimes... It just doesn't matter. Teams will just beat Texas because they are Texas. A program whose fans think they are much better than they really are. 45-38 and it should've been a lot worse

You are a real pussy, aren't you? I would venture to say that many of the posters played football before, too.  Yeah, I'm an old guy that played when we only got a couple of opportunities for a water break in the Texas heat. We usually got a cup to drink and maybe another that you could choose to drink or pour over your head. What a crying baby you are!

  15. 4 minutes ago, TigerFan4538 said:

You can get arrested for leaving a minor or pet in a car with no A/C with temperatures reaching that height. I guess Texas fans don't have the brain to know why.. It's not good for your body.

Maybe when your A/C went out you got so dehydrated it rendered you unable to come up with a formidable thought.

Haha. Really? So, nor mean ol' Texas done made the Tiggers go sit in the car with the windows up? Poor fellas. Call CPS!!!!
