  1. After weeks and weeks of the reading HCQ studies, articles and anecdotal reports I’ve reached these conclusions:
If you take it it probably won’t kill you
If you take it for COVID it probably won’t help you.

  2. Nice.  I like the starburst glassware, too.  There are some vertical burst-looking lines on one of the red rimmed glasses I have, but the rest of them appear to have had that feature wear off over the years.

Really need to be hand washed. Yours look like Georges Briard. His vintage stuff is pretty popular and usually has his signature somewhere.

  3. One of the benefits of being the only one left on my side of the family who drinks.  Got to pick over my late dad's extensive bar ware yesterday.

Also picked up some HIFI components and, hopefully, will have the 9 foot long console to load them back into before too long.  But that part is a little more complicated.

Blender still works like a champ. It has one speed.

  4. So this is the HIFI console.  Mom has moved out and the house is going on the market.  But I have been granted right of first refusal on the console, which will stay there for staging for now.  Unfortunately, I don't think I'm Surly 1% enough to swing the lamps (smaller stuff always seems to be worth more than the big stuff), but I would like to.
The McIntosh components that go in there came home with me last night though.  Amp needs a little more work.

    What Mac components?

  5. Internet memes should not be taken as fact. Several of those people were shot by feds and sent to prison. I don't believe any were pardoned.

Yeah, aware of that. Saw a documentary on the incident on Amazon Prime a few weeks ago. Not as cognitive as Trump so thought I forgot something. Dude who was arrested for arson or something “inspired” the event. He was pardoned. He was apparently not really involved.

  6. Perhaps the best concert footage ever released on commercial video.

Saw that one and it was pretty great. They kicked off the North America tour in Fort Worth. Rented a house in Dallas and would fly back there if they had a show in the region.

  7. I’d like to hear about seeing Television. Details please.

Ok. Fourth row, Dallas Convention Center Theatre. They opened for Peter Gabriel on his first post Genesis solo tour. This was just after Marquee Moon. If you like guitars, seeing Verlaine and Lloyd play together is pretty awesome. And Robert Fripp was in Gabriel’s band, so pretty cool night.

  8. Funny, just did the San Antonio to Vegas move/drive with the son in late September as he was Changing bases.  I've done the Hoover dam visit before (pre 9-11 when they showed you more behind the scene stuff I believe), it's pretty damned cool.  We hit Sedona, and the Grand Canyon on that last run.

Took this pic in the bowels when we toured pre 9/11

  9. 30 percent at UAL got WARN letters, but I doubt furloughs go that deep. There will be furloughs though. They're committed to emerging 30 percent smaller especially due to the heavy international exposure. Delta as well. American throws shit at the wall, so who knows what their numbers mean.

Brother-in-law took the ETO option at SWA.

  10. I was hoping to get by for around $300 (we've dropped a ton on household updates during the quarantine) but those HD650s might be worth the stretch.

Might check out Hifiman Planers. They have some affordable planers that are great for listening. Don’t know about mixing.

I don’t think you have to spend a bunch to get good sounding cans. When I need closed back I use Audio Technica ATX M50.
