I would like to go on record as writing that cutting Dez is a mistake. This is type of thing dumb teams do, and Dallas fully qualifies as a stupid team. Dallas could potentially be a 5 win team in 2018 if Tyron Smith's back keeps acting up.

Texas A&M spring game visitor list is loaded

    Brian Perroni - 75 minutes agoVIP7

Texas A&M holds its annual Maroon and White spring game this coming weekend and there will be a lot of talent in town. This list is by no means exhaustive and we will continue to add to it as we confirm unofficial visitors for the game. However, here are the players we have confirmed so far.

    OFFICIAL VISITORS

-Dallas Bishop Dunne S Brian Williams(A&M commit): The five-star safety and No. 2 prospect in the state is rock solid to A&M and will be one of a few Aggie pledges on their official visits this weekend.

-Colleyville Heritage WR Kam Brown (A&M commit): Since making a commitment to the Aggies in early February, the speedy four-star wideout has been back numerous times and this weekend will be yet another. He is set to enroll in January.

-Houston St. Pius WR Chase Lane (A&M commit): The longtime Aggie pledge will be in College Station again this coming weekend.

-Dayton LB/DE RJ Orebo (A&M commit): Orebo has received some interest from other schools since committing but has told them all he is completely solid. He is also set to enroll early.

-Converse Judson DL DeMarvin Leal: It looks to be an A&M/Texas battle for the 6-foot-4, 280-pound four-star defender. It is huge to get him on campus this weekend and he recently had a very good unofficial visit to Austin.

-Houston Madison CB Bobby Wolfe: A one-time A&M pledge, the four-star cornerback has remained high on the Aggies and will take his first official visit to College Station. He is close with fellow four-star cornerback Young, who will also be there.

-Fort Bend Bush CB Erick Young: The four-star defender is very high on both A&M and Oklahoma so it’s a big deal that he will be in Aggieland instead of Norman as both have big visit weekends.

-Aledo CB Jeffery Carter: A former Oklahoma pledge, Carter really likes A&M and the Aggies will get the first official from the four-star prospect.

-Brooklyn (N.Y.) Canarsie DE Adisa Isaac:The 6-foot-5, 210-pound edge rusher from New York City has offers from all over the country and will take his first official visit to A&M.

    UNOFFICIAL VISITORS

-Spring Dekaney CB Marcus Banks: The four-star cornerback will also be back in College Station the weekend of April 28 for an official visit.

-Crandall OL Branson Bragg: A&M’s top interior offensive line target in the state, the Aggies are in a battle with both Texas and Stanford.

-Amarillo Tascosa RB King Doerue: One of the more intriguing prospects in the state, Doerue has A&M as one of his top schools at the moment.

-Austin Bowie WR Elijah Higgins: Higgins has been to Aggieland several times and plans to be back this coming weekend. The four-star wideout has very good speed and provides serious mismatches.

-Gilbert (Ariz.) Higley ATH Ty Robinson:Likely a defensive end or tackle, the 6-foot-5, 260-pound four-star athlete has planned to be at A&M this coming weekend.

-Baton Rouge (La.) U-High ATH Christian Harris (Maybe): The 6-foot-1, 225-pound four-star prospect, who would likely play linebacker, is still listed as a ‘maybe.’

-2020 New Caney CB Dwight McGlothern:The four-star cornerback is becoming quite comfortable in College Station and, not surprisingly, will be back yet again.

-2020 Southlake Carroll CB RJ Mickens:The four-star corner and Aggie legacy has not been to College Station in some time but says he will likely be there for the spring game.

-2020 Hebron S Darius Snow: The nation’s top-ranked safety for the class of 2020, Snow plans to make his first visit to A&M since being offered.

-2020 Duncanville S Chris Thompson Jr.:The No. 2 safety in the country, Thompson was just at A&M this past weekend as well but plans to make another trip for the spring game.

-2020 Fort Bend Austin OL Kendal Septs:A&M recently became the first to offer Septs when he was in town for an unofficial visit and he will be back for the spring game.

-2020 Haynesville (La.) DT Camron Jackson: After spending last weekend in DFW for the Under Armour camp, the 6-foot-4, 273-pound four-star defender will return to the Lone Star State this coming weekend to visit A&M.

-2021 Katy Taylor OT Hayden Conner:Conner, who is one of four in-state freshman tackles with an A&M offer, will put some miles in this weekend. He is going to the Wisconsin spring game on Friday and then will be in College Station for the A&M one on Saturday

I have a lot of clients that live in Axtell and it's definitely the small town. Good people who would rather be hunting or fishing than hanging out in town and I  don't see it growing all that much either. I'd much rather send my kids to Axtell or Riesel than Connally or La Vega.

Agreed.  For some reason growth from waco went west-ish.  Mcgregor Crawford CS etc. Some of the house prices out there are absolutely crazy to me

Riesel is fine too.  Interested to see their future if that coal plant closes down. Definitely not Mart LaVega or Connolly

  4. Thats not too bad of a drive.  Im interested to see what it looks like once they start on i35 next year.  But even then you can just take the loop

Im honestly fine continuing to rent right now to buy some land once we get on a better footing.

    We're looking at Axtell

Are y'all looking at the standard China Spring, Lorena, Midway areas? We currently live in the Midway district, but it seems like they are getting more and more WISD transplants every year. The woman went to University and the whole goal is to get away from that type of place.

I'd like to get a place on some land in the Oglesby area heading toward Mother Neff State Park. The kids could go to a boarding school for all I care if we end up building out there.

We've looked at CS.  Wife works at MCC so it will be closer but its a little too far away from everything. Same with Lorena.  Midway would be fine but its a little more than we want to spend since we are basically down to one income for a while until mine because more consistent

We hit up Lolita's for breakfast tacos once a month or so and Leal's isn't terrible either. We love Waco for two reasons...1.) It's cheap as fuck and 2.) You can be anywhere else in the state (or world) quickly. The Baylor bubble is mostly ignored by locals and the only time I really have to deal with them is for longer waits at places like Moroso or Alpha Omega. At our usual haunts like Valles you wouldn't know that there was a college here. We like to fly out about 6-7 times a year to Mexico, Colorado, East Coast, or whatever and it's nice to price check from DFW, DAL, AUS, SAT, IAH, & HOU all within an easy drive.

We're worried about schools when we get kids that are within age. I want to send them to Vanguard, but I have no idea what to do with them from K-6 and certainly don't want them in any of the religious privates. I went to Robinson and it's fine for what it is, but I want better for the kids so we'll see when we get to that point.

I don't think I could stomach a city smaller than Waco unless it is something like San Luis Obispo.

Moroso and Alpha Omega are two of my favorites along with Hecho en Waco.  Moroso stacks up with any pizza ive had in texas.

We're looking at houses in robinson but i cant bring myself to do it.  Im sure its fine but the roads suck and its a little too out of the way

  7. I moved from Atx to Waco and absolutely love it minus the rape.  Now waco is 125k so not a small town

CoL is considerably cheaper.  Traffic is non existent. I can take my wife and kids to do things on the weekend and theres not 10k other people there.

Friday night we can go downtown (i know downtown waco haha) but we go drink some of the best whiskey in the world at Balcones park for free and walk right in.  I enjoy going to a restaurant on the weekend and not having to wait 45 mins for a table.

My wife lived in the metroplex and bay area.  I was concerned about how she liked it.  She loves it.

Now Waco doesnt offer 1/10th of the nightlife, restaurants jobs that Atx does but we dont go out much anyway and when we do we sure as fuck werent going downtown and dealing with that bullshit. Its a poor community in parts but also has a little charm [a little].  There are good schools in and around Waco to send our kids

I miss the radio stations and breakfast tacos.

In a couple years we're buying land and moving out to the country. A farming community of about 1k people and i cant wait.

Evan got that line from a buddy.   A bunch of guys were planning to meet early one morning to get horses ready to ride, but none of them showed up.   So, one guy was left to do all the work.  He said that line, essentially saying that everyone wants to have fun but no one wants to put in the work.

I never thought about a marriage methophor angle, but could be.  It is a great line though.

    Cool story

Help me out. Always wondered if that was a general Hank reference, a reference to “I’ll never get out of this world alive” or “I’ll be a bachelor til I die”?

What i take it to mean is that everyone wants the great things that come as Hank Williams (fame etc) but they dont want to have to deal with the hard stuff (addiction death etc) that goes along with it.

I always thought he used it as a metaphor for marriage.  They want the happy marriage but they dont want to deal with the hard times that come along with it.

They said the silent won't announce until next month.  Then the next paragraph says Watson will announce May 4th.  Makes it seem like it's Watson, but that isn't very subtle of them.

    That makes sense
