I don’t know if anyone’s taking sides. The OL performance was pathetic…….and so was the defense
Your'e right. They both did. Just the majority of posts I saw lately are about blaming the qb or head coach which is understandable but in reality you won't beat anyone giving up 300 on the ground.

I truly believe we could have won with a QB who just seems to understand the importance of moving the ball forward with urgency.
We will not know.
Doesn't matter who plays qb when you give up over 300 yards on the ground. You won't beat ANYONE doing that.

if the 3rd coach can’t turn things around, it’s not a coaching issue. It’s a program issue.
Yep. It all starts at the administrative level. If fans keep accepting mediocrity then there's no reason to change. They made their money.

This is all hilarious that everyone is making this about the offense when the defense literally gave up over 300 yards on the ground tonight. You will not beat ANYONE doing that. The offense was definitely horrible too but holy shit the defense was non existent. Especially in the 2nd half.

They finally charged me for ou tickets and they still aren't showing up in the app.
-
Btw the problem with those screens GDGD used to run was that firstly it was a predictable first down play on almost all of our opening drives, and secondly, I never understood throwing the ball 40 yards across the field to try to advance forward. Way to much risk involved. For those who say Davis was too conservative I just point there.

I think Thompson will be the starter week 1 for sure but not so sure that's the case by the ou game. I hope he is because everything I'm seeing and hearing from the kid sounds great but Card has undeniable arm talent that could cost Thompson the job. That's the optimistic point of view at least. They could both end up being shit but I doubt it.

Any insight on when TX/ou ticket requests are filled?

You're right. Repeatedly driving drunk is much better than dealing a little pot.
It's not just dealing a little pot. He literally had a gang member on his team and Florida had multiple sexual assault allegations against their players. College kids everywhere drive drunk because they are stupid kids.

Okay, let’s start with...
1) has won national championships
Who ya got?
The only 2 coaches in the programs history that have won national titles here didn't have one before we hired them so I'm not sure why that's your number one metric. I personally would like to have Matt Campbell and have been pushing for that for awhile.

Look if it was joe pa or Sandusky or even briles I’d agree with you. Those guys shouldn’t be around kids anymore (two of them can’t be). But Meyer? Are you shitting me? Because he had some thugs on his WINNING teams? Does everyone forget we had Sergio Kindle driving cars through west campus apartment walls under Mack? But it didn’t matter because we were winning. How is it any different? This moral high ground bullshit is pussy shit for people who don’t like to win
Do I seriously need to explain to you the difference between a college kid who makes mistakes and drives drunk is a completely different thing than having a team with over 31 arrests in 5 years and not for "boys being boys" kind of shenanigans. I mean he had Aaron Hernandez on his team. Then covered up domestic abuse from one of his coaches at his next stop. I'm not saying we didn't have a few problems here and there under Mack but comparing these 2 coaches morally is ridiculous.
-
Really? How many of our players do you think have a realistic shot at the NFL? Even if we start getting that level of talent on the regular, at the most it's gonna be like 10-15% percent of the team. It just amazes me how everyone's standard's change when we aren't winning games. We should be doing our homework and finding a coach that checks all the boxes we want not settling for someone who will almost certainly put a giant stain on the program's integrity.

You should shut the fuck up
Wow great response. Do you have anything that suggests what I said is untrue or is your pussy just hurt?

Look I'm just as upset as everyone else and definitely think that Herman needs to go but I really don't think we should hire Urban Meyer. The man simply should not be allowed to be around kids anymore. There is no moral argument there.

Yea he had a few one on ones in open field today but never capitalized on them. Ridiculous a guy that size is getting taken down by dbs.
-
Game was there to be won and of course we choke it away again. Doubt we win in overtime with this offensive playcalling.

That's certainly true. You don't make it difficult.
Or maybe you just have your head up your ass. Yea that seems to be more likely.

I’m not upset people like you are why racism is here to stay. I’m used to it. hopefully nothing in the karma scale happens to you for you views
Yea if it wasn't around, he wouldn't have his bit anymore. Takes 3 seconds of thinking to come up with his conclusions.

Is it because they don't support their teammates or because the University forces them to make this choice?
They have always had the choice.

All because they don't want to sing The Eyes or be there while its sung? Seems like a wildly emotional piece of inaccurate logic on your part.
Because they don't want to stand on the field with the leader of their team after the game is over. You don't understand how bad that looks. Because they have threatened to quit over nonsense or not getting enough playing time, and because they have bowed up to former players saying that they need to play better. They are a bunch of entitled pussies from what I can tell and anybody with eyes can see it.

Why?
Because it's clear a lot don't have any respect for the name on the jersey, traditions, or the players that came before them. It's also reflected in the way they play.

Was it introduced to campus at a minstrel show?
What if a black Longhorn says, "I know the lyrics aren't referring to a slave overseer, I do not want to sing a song introduced at a minstrel show or participate silently in its performance."?
Then I would say they aren't true Longhorns. They certainly don't play that way.

Who here called The Eyes racist?
This entire chain of imagined offense starts from vapor. I know you guys desperately want to be called racist so you can bluster and whine, but no one is calling you racist. It's way more banal, you're just stupid.
Quote it.
I can show you 100+ page threads of alumni bleeding out of their eyeballs and social media posts from fans all day long. Show me the players. Do it.
Cool, shut the fuck up now you whining bitch of a man.
Lol my goodness you are so feminine.

A throwaway dig comparing you to Bill Burr or whatever really seems to have hit a nerve.
This right here: "These kids have grown up in a society where they get rewarded for call out culture. If you call out something privately you get no social points but if you do it publicly you get the points which is crucial to your social capital."
Turn on the Joe Rogan podcast with any ep with a comedian and just pick a random spot in any of them and this is basically verbatim. Maybe you consume that kind of crap and are repeating it or maybe your brilliant mind came up with it in a vacuum, either way it's idiotic and, in this case, completely inaccurate.
I asked if you had evidence if the players were crowing out this on social media for clout, but instead of dealing with that simple question you continue to roll around on the turf like a soccer player because I accurately mocked the type of dumb crap you're spouting.
The players ARE NOT "do(ing) it publicly" to "get the points which (are) crucial to your social capital". The players are silent about this on social media.
Your dumb take isn't even close to being accurate.
Was all popular entertainment in the 19th century called "minstrelsy" or just a specific type?
Please answer this question.
A few threatened to quit on social media this past summer and they certainly haven't been silent about it elsewhere. They all sang it last year before they knew the origins of the song, which tells me their is social capital to be gained by agreeing with this nonsense publicly and shitting on anyone who disagrees. I will say I haven't seen one player badmouth a fan but they certainly have supported this crap and I think that reason has to do with social capital to be gained because they all sang it last year when their wasn't capital to be gained. You live with your head in the sand. Once again, you have no credibility with me and hopefully not with many.

They are just soft and have been for some time now. Sure there are a few exceptions every year but for the most part they play soft. They give up too quickly when they get down. They lack physicality. It's like when they get to Texas they feel like they've made it. You can say all day that culture isn't the problem and that it's the coaching but we are on coach 3 since mack and we keep getting the same results.
