We just witnessed something you don't see every day from our team.  The bats and the pitching were good on the same day at the same time.  Nice, nice win.  Take the series win tmrw.

    Extension!

KC’s Cole Ragans K’d the side in the first.  In the second, he gave up 7 ER on 9 hits to the O’s …😳

… and 49 pitches in 2/3 of an inning.  From my POV, that’s not how to treat your staff #1 whose already had two arm surgeries.

We'll never out-perform Elko at the QB position.  I've heard it.

Speaking of aggy … wonder what propaganda they’ll spew about Arch’s performance today?

Gerry and Bobby have stated before that Arch wants to start 2 years at Texas and even 3 years isn’t out of the question.  I personally highly doubt he stays in college 5 years but they have mentioned plenty of times that his family is in no rush for him to get to the NFL and want him to enjoy college and develop.

… as I said “at least.”

Regardless, Sark has a proven track record of recruiting, developing, and managing starter quality QBs as far back as USC under Pete.  It would be shocking if any of these guys weren’t told up front how the train will run and their place as engineer.

id be very surprised if Owens finishes his career as a Longhorn

Sark is getting the QB ducks lined up perfectly.  RS, then backup, then compete/start for at least 2 seasons.

Right this moment, I’d be concerned what going on in the head of the commit from Alabama …

I forgot they changed the LHN Gameday intro from the Old 97s song. Please kill this fucking thing our ESPN overlords.

Blow up that mofo before they come up with something similar for the EoT …

  7. Work fast, change speeds, throw strikes …

Working fast keeps the fielders on their toes.  Changing speeds keeps the hitters off of theirs.  Throwing strikes is self-evident.  Velocity was never a primary factor.

It was absolutely the correct move given the info they had at the moment, but it really ended up fucking over Detroit, which I thought was awesome.

The only team I enjoy seeing fucked over is Pittsburgh.  There’s no denying the greatness of Sidney Crosby … but, he’s a sniveling pussy.

Last night was high comedy --  Philly pulled their goalie in a tie game (even though they had just been eliminated literally seconds earlier, coaches didn't know) and immediately gave up an empty netter to lose and put the Caps in the playoffs.

The Flyers’ only playoff chance going into the game was a W in regulation.  I think it was the correct move considering ~3 minutes remained in a tie game.  Like you noted, they weren’t aware they had been eliminated just seconds before.

Any chatter about sending Holliday back down? 1/22 was not expected by me ha.

Don’t see that happening.  The O’s have been breaking in kids for the past 3 seasons (Rutschman, Henderson, Westburg, Cowser) and even further if you go back to Hays, Mullins, and Mountcastle.  Holliday will come around just as they have.

If you’re interested, here’s a pretty thorough look at Holliday’s ABs leading up to that first hit.  He’s being pitched to which is no surprise considering he’s hitting right in front of Gunnar.
