  1. Couple of days ago: Wife - "When we are in Vegas, lets go to that Red Bar. I think it is owned by that singer Skelton"

Me: Very confused look "Are you talking about a Blake Shelton Bar or a Red Skelton Bar? Honestly, I'd be interested in a Red Skelton Bar, no doubt"

    Wife: "Blake Shelton"

    Me - "Damn it!"

PCP referred me to specialists, who diagnosed a fatty liver.

PCP, Phencyclidine, Angel Dust? You seen what that stuff does to kids? You are looking at 3-5 mandatory, Louis.

I'll add that if she's considering HRT, she needs to see someone that is knowledgeable and supportive about it. My wife went to her primary care doc -- a female in her 30s -- who basically told her to just deal with the symptoms because she doesn't believe in HRT and that menopause isn't such a big deal. What a fucking joke. Try dealing with two hours of sleep a night and hot flashes pouring sweat every 30 minutes, you fucking rube. So my wife dropped her and found a local HRT specialist. Things have turned around a ton (much better sleep, very few hot flashes, libido back to normal) but the biggest thing for her was being able to talk to someone who took her seriously and didn't make her feel like a whiny irritant.

She also found this article validating: https://www.everydayhealth.com/menopause/menopausal-women-arent-crazy-theyre-just-often-gaslit/

Went through this same scenario, only to find out my wife was allergic to the hormone pills. Found some relief with some hot flash drug and some over the counter stuff. Sleeping is the main issue.

I'd rather isten to Taylor Swift talk about the game than Tony Romo.

Still want an ambient stadium noise button...

I noticed that the SkyCam broadcast from ESPN will sometimes just have the stadium announcer and stadium sound for the audio. Then at commercial breaks, the camera just floats around waiting for the game to restart. Its really nice, no play by play, and no commercials. Beautiful.

  4. The older I get, the more Old People things I acquire: 7 day pill container, one of those stools with the light blue seat, 2 different brands of crutches, 1 knee scooter, non-slip bath mat, readers stashed in every room, and a couple of eye masks for sleeping.

csb/  was in a swanky hotel in Oklahoma City where my wife's lawyer uncle reserved rooms for all the out-of-town guests for his rotation for Thanksgiving.  we were about to come off break from family time, and hit the hotel bar to self-medicate before heading back over to the circus.  my wife was cold, so ordered a Bailey's and coffee.  this is what she got.

I was driving through East Texas in the early 90's and accidently stopped at a place that only accepted cash. I asked the nice lady at the counter if there was a Pulse machine nearby. She said there may be one in the grocery store across the street. I walked around the grocery store and found it was one of those sit down blood-pressure machines.

Maybe I'm wrong, but from a rehab standpoint, I'd rather tear up my knee than tear my Achilles.

At one time wasn't an Achilles tear a career ender? My wife blew hers out years ago and the surgery and rehab were a beast. It really effected her jump cuts and catching swing passes out of the back field.
