7 round mock on ESPN. Probably as good as you could ask for from a Texas player point of view.

    Barron - 9 to NO - Rd 1

    Golden - 18 to SEA - Rd 1

    Banks - 23 to GB - Rd 1

    Ewers - 40 to NO - Rd 2

    Collins - 46 to ATL - Rd 2

    Mukuba - 56 to BUF - Rd 2

    Bond - 74 to CAR - Rd 3

    Williams - 100 to SF - Rd 3

    Helm - 110 to NYJ - Rd 4

    Sorrell - 118 to ATL - Rd 4

    Majors - 122 to DEN - Rd 4

    Blue - 124 to GB - Rd 4

    Broughton - 169 to BUF - Rd 5

    Conner - 215 to LV - Rd 6

    This would be insanely great

Notes from Brugler on Mays' podcast

    - Thinks Ward will go 1.1, just a matter of who's making that pick (Tennessee, Cleveland, NYG?)
    - Most scouts he talks to thinks Shedeur will fall out of the top ten, although Dane isn't taking that to the bank. He isn't in the top three QBs for some teams. Mays says some teams he talked to said Ward was better on the board work than Shedeur
    - Dane has no idea how much Abdul Carter's injury will affect his draft stock. Mays compares it to Julio Jones' injury in his draft year
    - Dane guesses that Cleveland trades back after someone else (he guesses NYG) takes Ward at #1. NYG is probably more desperate than Cleveland to get Ward because that front office and coaching staff is on the hot seat
    - Thinks top 20 for Nick Emmanwori
    - Armand Membou has a strong case to be the first OL drafted
    - Regarding Will Campbell's arm length, teams he talked to are split. Some still view him as a tackle, some think he's a guard but will give him a shot at tackle. Great workout and teams love his football character
    - Everyone is befuddled at the measurement differences between the senior/shrine bowl and combine measurements. The same organization does measurements for all three events. Did they have lower level workers doing the post season game stuff? Teams are deciding what numbers or averages to use. Teams can also bring players (on a limited number) of visits to get measurements that matter to them
    - "If you're NE and you have to take Membou or Campbell to start at LT day one", and Dane responds that it's close enough to where he'd ask his OL coach to work them both out and then decide
    - Asked who impressed him the most, and Dane first mentioned Grey Zabel, and thinks Houston would be a great landing spot for them. Thinks Houston would love to trade up for Will Campbell. Likes Jared Wilson at center, compares his situation to Jurgens.
    - Wonders if Shemar Stewart go as high as Carolina at #8?
    - The 2nd round WR group got more interesting after the weekend. Jaylin Noel could be WR5. Higgins was a basketball guy who didn't fully commit to football until later and could have some latent ability
    - Hairston was in the 1st round convo, but now likely solidified that, similar to Wiggins last year
    - Tyler Booker's testing disappointed, but positional drills looked good. Teams love Booker's football character
    - Malaki Starks had a weird combine. Terrible 3-cone, similar time to his DT teammate. Average 40, bad vert. Looked great in drills, with the highest MPH doing the drills. Typically a combine like this just reinforces your priors on a prospect
    - Shough, Ewers, and McCord stood out throwing among the QBs. Heard good things about all three in the interviews. Shough was awesome, and looked the best. Howard looked bad. The senior bowl was bad for Milroe, but some teams are still on him because of his upside
    - More divide than expected on Mason Graham due to unideal measureables. Interesting that the Michigan guys either didn't test well or didn't test at all
    - Asked about the RBs.. says you can talk about the RBs for an hour because he has 30 with draftable grades, he mentions the Va Tech RB really helping himself. Hampton is a top 25 pick, thinks it could be Denver. Awesome RB class; good value in every round. Some teams will double up on the position
    - Mentions Dont'e Thornton as an interesting size+speed deep threat WR
    - Tez Johnson had a terrible 40 time for his size, but had the highest MPH in drills, similar to Malaki Starks
    - The league loves Mason Taylor, thinks early second round
    - The OL as a whole looked great in positional drills
    - At DL, Ty Robinson stood out in drills. Best MPH number. Hears a very wide draft range; late 2nd to 5th round. Can fly to the ball, but can he get off blocks?
    - At LB, Kain Medrano looked good in drills and tested well. Really athletic for LB. Interesting early day three pick
    - Likes Caleb Ransaw, says he's like a mid round Jahdae Barron

No mention at all on Banks football character? lol

What about Golden's shot at WR1?

Tech just had the #2 transfer portal class. One of the Double Eagle founders helped to make that happen.

I think if one of our boosters was willing to spend and had a huge bump in net worth it would impact our team.

If Tech was willing to commit $1 million to a softball player, they might go even higher for a blue chip football player.
