If the bust in your scenario is not play a senior year of football and still be one of the most sought after recruits in the nation, then yes it's IMG or bust.  It sucks given that his intentions were likely noble, but this doesn't affect his long term football options one iota.

Sorry I wasn't clear.  Wasn't implying he was going to bust in college, only whether he could play his senior year.  If he was really transferring to get to a better school and get away from problems in his home this decision really sucks.  Kid has to be crushed right now.  Hopefully he can keep his head on straight and stay in shape.

No, it centered on his transfer from North Forrest to Tomball.  Basically, the UIL didn't think it was legit in terms of athletics so they ruled him ineligible.  Don't think he'll see the field in football in Texas this year w/o transferring back, which he says he won't do.

    IMG or bust?

In between naps, Sherman would be a hell of an analyst even if he did nothing but show up and watch film of linemen and tell us which one he thought would do the best in college.

Sherman's players got Summy paid. He wasn't a great coach but he could identify talent.

Damn. I stopped driving that way to/from downtown from NW Austin because I was convinced I was goin to get killed by some shitty driver in 2222, and I drive a full size crew cab pickup. Can’t imagine the carnage from a car at speed hitting a motorcycle turning onto 2222 from Mt. Bonnell Road.

When I was in my teens I had to drive that road to practice every day. I was almost killed one night by someone driving on the wrong side of the road on the curvy section going down towards county line. Probably one of the more dangerous stretches of road in Austin.

  5. This really is a play by the GBRA to put pressure on the local municipalities to provide funds to fix the gates.  The local governments are going to be hit with economic losses from businesses closing (marinas/boat repair/waterfront construction) in addition to property tax losses as the property values of the homes now possibly, as mentioned above, not being waterfront homes.

This feels like nothing more than a negotiation and strong arming tactic from the GBRA which may or may not back fire on them.  Lake Wood didn't have many people or people with deep pockets living on that lake.  McQueeny, Dunlap, and Placid certainly do.  Meadow Lake (Lake Nolte) is the real wild card here.
