  1. Popup camper.

Modern campers almost always have brakes, even under 2000 pounds.

The van is rated to 3500.

The hitch is a Curt class 3. I forget the exact model but you just put your vehicle info in the website and it tells you which one fits.

I’ve gotten the normal 4 pin standard trailer wiring all done. Had to run the power line all the way to the battery which was the toughest bit. More fiddly and slow than difficult.

Next weekend I mount the 7 pin RV connector and wire up the adapter.

I got the ball and ball mount at my local UHaul place. Had to get a mount with quite a bit of rise to it since the receiver sits pretty low under the van.

  2. After the first lap shenanigans and safety car restart that was a pretty boring race.

It is pretty disappointing that Mclaren haven’t really gotten anywhere. Ferrari had nothing for Mercedes, Red Bull was just sort of there the whole time but not ever really in it.

  3. Pistol Shrimps Radio

its two improvisers who don’t know much about basketball calling play-by-play of a LA rec league women’s basketball team. Matt Gourley and Mark Mconville from Super Ego are the announcers and several of the ladies on the team are also improv comedians including Matt’s wife.

They go way off on tangents and it’s pretty hilarious.

  4. Not a truck. A Toyota Sienna van.

Wiring kit attaches behind both taillights and runs behind the trim work. But that just gets a 4 pin connection. I got a 7pin adapter that will then let me hook up either 4 pin or 7 pin.

But for the 7 pin, you have to run your own ground wire, which is easy, and then a power line all the way to the battery. It’s not hard just finicky to find a good route. The last pin is for the trailer brake controller which also requires running wires up to the cabin to wherever the controller gets stashed.

  5. So I may just be asking for biased answers posting in this thread but what are people’s thoughts on kayaks vs canoes.

I may be interested in one and I keep going back and forth on which style

mainly it’s because I want something I can paddle around and fish from. But I also want to be able to have a second Fisher with me on occasion.

kayaks seem more maneuverable but a canoe I could paddle around both my kids with the older one up front with a paddle and the little one in the middle. Or two adults fishing from one canoe

i know there are two person kayaks too but they seem less common and harder to find

so am I crazy for leaning canoe? Or are kayaks truly superior?

  6. Nothing special but I installed a hitch receiver myself yesterday. I’d post a picture but I don’t know a good way without imgur and tapatalk annoys me so I don’t use it.

So far I’ve only done the receiver itself. Next weekend I’ll tackle all the wiring harness stuff. That will require running a wire all the way to the engine compartment to the battery.

I may eventually also install a trailer brake controller but as of now the only trailer I’ll potentially be pulling doesn’t have brakes.

  7. Fun race. Red Bull can't be a happy place to be this evening. GRO, wtf? Perhaps if GRO doesn't do that the safety car is in 5 laps earlier and Vettel would have been more patient to set up a move and not force something and screw himself.

  8. I'm interested in this, too. I took my 5 and 8 year old daughters camping last weekend and they enjoyed it so I may have to start doing it more regularly. Ofcourse we cheated and were in the grandparents pop-up camper, and I'd be starting out in tents, etc.

But the 8 year old caught her first fish and they both had fun and are wanting to do it again.

I'd have to start out with relatively simple campgrounds not far from Dallas that has bathrooms, etc.

  9. Mario+Rabbids does have co-op. There are five co-op campaigns separate from the main single player story.

They just aren’t there right away. You unlock each campaign after clearing each world in the normal game. In the castle area you get access to the “Buddy dome” after clearing the first world. That’s where you play co-op.

You will have a team of 4 characters with each player controlling 2.
