  1. When the histrorical average high temp for the week is lower than the forecasted low temp for the week you know there is a problem.

Dallas average high temps for last week in Dec mid 50s. Average low temps for next week low to mid 60s. And we are a good 25-30 degrees above normal for our highs. Our planet is fucked until humans cease to exist. No other way around it.

  2. All i know is some shit is about to go down over the next 2 weeks. I will feel much better if osu beats Michigan but other than that, nothing else really needs to happen for the committee to have to decide the fate of all.of college football ooc games over the next decade. Will be highly entertaining to watch. The committee can't run from this. They will have to decide what is more important. Putting a 3 loss Texas team in over teams like Miami byu utah nd Vandy ou etc or losing 100s of millions of dollars in revenue as no team in their right mind will schedule anyone but directional schools moving forward.

  3. Just now, GTX Horn said:

I know I’m looking at this through burnt orange glasses, but the “cancel marquee non-con games if Texas gets punished for losing to Ohio State week 1” argument holds a lot of water. Those games are huge money makers for the networks. Much more than Texas-Rice or whoever. If we really lean hard into threatening to cancel the Ohio State game next season, the Michigan game in ‘26, and the Notre Dame series, the corporate overlords will get really spooked about the potential domino effect

Hell we may not be the side that cancels them. You may see a " Texas and Notre Dame have mutually decided to cancel their home and home series" and it may be Michigan or Notre Dame who calls first.

  4. The more I think about it, the more I feel Texas should be in the playoffs if they beat aggy. They would 100% be in if they played a cupcake non conference schedule like 99% of the other teams. Here is what CDC should post if we win this Friday.

"If Texas does not make the playoffs, it would verify, again, teams should not schedule quality non-conference opponents. In the future, fan experience would suffer and the college football product itself would suffer as teams will look to the path of least resistance. The University of Texas will be watching closely what the playoff committee does as will our TV sponsors for our upcoming non-conference games."

PS- Dont fucking test me on this.

  5. Color me surprised georgia has a game next week and we have a bye. I would have thought Kirby would have lobbied hard to have a bye before our game especially thinking we would have one. Guess georgia doesn't think much of us.

  6. Moving forward I'm going to assume there no highs in the 70s or 80s. For about 330 days of the year we have highs in the 60s or 90s/100s. There are about 10 days each spring or fall total where you have highs in the 70s or 80s. And then about 15 days of the year it's highs in the 50s or lower. Every year.

  7. These Amazon Prime day days are absolute trash. So this year me upgrading my computer and Prime day deals ended up coinciding with one another. About 6 weeks ago I built out my list of computer parts and priced them. About 4 weeks ago I noticed the price of all of my parts going up. Every week they went up significantly until today where I saw they were "discounted" back to their original price of 6 weeks ago. In the case of my RAM its still actually 25% higher than it was. I ended up losing $30 by waiting and not pulling the trigger 6 weeks ago. Ive read this is a common practice to jack up prices in the weeks leading up to black friday or prime day but I guess I finally got to see it first hand. The moral here is to buy your shit about 6-8 weeks before major shopping "deal days" OR dont buy your shit starting about a month before major deal days.

  8. Until our offense proves something, my expectations will remain low. Line seems high. Defenses smell blood in the water with Arch. My low bar for him is to play well enough to not get benched on Saturday. 10-10 at the end of regulation. We end up winning 16-13 after 2 overtimes and that's not even factoring the weather. Take the under.
