I was going to mention on that video above, which they discuss, but it’s fucking amazing at how easy the Russian conscripts are surrendering in Kursk, and the numbers in which they are surrendering. As they point out, it’s not good for Putin because it means the Russian youth aren’t buying what he’s selling, even when the motherland is being invaded.

Discussed above and not quite as close, but Tulsa’s mayor primary locked out a maga republican (Van Norman) by 438 votes. it was one of the worst turnouts ever, 26% of registered voters. City elections are non partisan but voter registration is easy to find and Van Norman was sure to make a big deal about how the other two were Hugo Chavez leftists (Nichols is pretty liberal, Keith is moderate life long dem). This primary result is significant because the runoff will be during the presidential election that would have brought way more magas to the poll, but now they have two dems to choose from, lol. Even if there was a maga on the ballot the city ballot doesn’t have straight line party option and the Trump only morons would have no idea who was who on a nonpartisan ballot. I wish all elections did the open primary and runoff system.

And Keith should cruise to an easy victory, since most of the MAGA voters will actually weigh voting for a white woman  as less of a mortal sin than voting for a black man…

to the MAGA, racism is a bigger influence than misogyny.

I mean his name is Nate, no Nate’s are to be taken seriously. Like having a middle name of Wayne, you’re gonna murder at least one person.

Don’t sleep on Ray as a middle name.  I had a cousin named Stanley Ray.

He was rough….  He’d vanish for years at a time.  Finally figured out he was serving prison sentences….

He would reappear, tell us a story about finding Jesus, and getting his life back on track.  Then disappear again….

  3. It’s just not fair!!!!

Rudy’s says it’s not fair that he was disbarred instead of Jack Smith. He says after the Supreme Court ruled that Trump has some immunity, Smith should’ve been disbarred for prosecutorial misconduct.

There has been very little on TV regarding Ukraine, lately. I find it interesting that Ukraine didn't tell the West about the attack beforehand and Ukraine credits its success to this tactic. It is a big black eye for not only us but other NATO members as well. Yet, I don't see mention of it. I would love to know the reasons for our reluctance. It doesn't appear to be nuclear war. So, I would lean towards things like destabilization of Russia and the Stans, high oil and gas prices, and maybe potential Chinese aggression in Russia's far east.

Regardless of regime, Russia has always been an imperialist aggressor, trying to conquer and maintain a buffer zone of expendable territory.

That said, your assumption is valid, along the mantra of “the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t.”  There is a pervasive fear of an even madder-man controlling nuclear weapons.  I’m not sure that Russia’s strategic nuclear forces are effective or even functional.  It is probably a safe assumption that their strategic nuclear forces have had the same graft, corruption, and pilfering the rest of Russian military has.

Yeah the doomcasting on Reddit, even going so far as to claim Kursk will prove to be a huge mistake, over pokrovsk is out of control. Russia will continue to obliterate this territory and lose countless men and equipment. It’s their only strategy. Ukraine could put all their men in pokrovsk and it won’t change the outcome. It will eventually be completely destroyed at an huge cost to Russia. Invading Russia was the right move.

    .

100% the Kursk offensive is a winning strategy.

The invasion puts even more pressure on Putin.  He has an enemy entrenched on Russian sovereign territory, and by all accounts, they’re not leaving.

IMO, this puts enormous pressure on Putin to deliver a victory, any kind of victory, as a PR stunt, to delay the inevitable coup.  Regardless of the cost in ground down Russian war capability and manpower, Putin HAS to deliver Pokrovsk.

Dems flipped the Tulsa mayorship - locked out the GOP and 2 Dems advanced to the runoff

It’s actually nonpartisan, but the top 2 candidates both hold elected office as Democrats. The Dem-affiliated candidates combined for nearly 2/3 of the vote, when the GOP incumbent won with 52% four years ago

    Crazy close:
Tulsa's city elections are officially non-partisan races, but Monroe Nichols is a (D) and so is Karen Keith.  VanNorman is a religious right buffoon:

    Nichols:       18,729
    Keith            18.457
VanNorman 18,019 (take the L, loser)
