I think that is a nice way to think about things.

My way of thinking about things is there are always going to be murderous regimes.

This was me at the table when I realized their European guts were not accustomed to the heat and what would happen later.

After reading the entire lengthy article I have to say I am no longer as ghoulishly happy seeing Russians chased and killed by drones as I was previously.   Don’t get me wrong, I agree the drones need to kill them, but I no longer think of every Russian soldier as some sort of mindless, murderer- rapist.  Many of them are absolutely victims too.  We grow up knowing that we have a right to protest and nothing will happen to us if we do.  All they know is that 99% of the time the state will win and will grind everything down that stands in the way of what the state wants.

It’s like the video of the drone operators released last week.  They got crosswise with their commander and were ordered into a meat wave assault (and died).

before they left on the assault, they recorded the video, but said how they would fulfill their duty, and not cause trouble….

    Serious answer @Laxtonto

    • Forcing Russia to move the heavy stuff to the east forces Russia to waste precious transport infrastructure (rail or truck) when they need to deploy them to airfields, which slows down the deployment.  Also, forcing them to the east gets those weapons out in the open for long distances on rail or trucks and gives them more of a chance to see the missiles being sent to airfields so they can get a grasp of where future attacks are likely to come from.  The Russians are pretty set in their ways.  I’d imagine a missile sent to an airfield will be used against the same area that previous missiles sent to that airfield were used against.

To this point, capturing the rail depot and junction facility in Kursk allows AFU to generally know train timing and location anywhere on the Russian rail network….

I’ve been seeing more Harris-Walz signs (usually accompanied by Sherrod Brown signs).

Remember the Trumper I posted about? Well, the douchebag across the street from him took down his upside down American flag (soon AFTER the 4th ofJuly, traitorous motherfucker). The Trumper, apparently in a new line of work, painted his truck and put up a sign promoting his new business (owner or employee, I have no idea, I haven’t investigated it to see if I could cause him any grief by outing him as a MAGAt). Since I took this pic he removed his Trump signs.

I’m happy to report that on my morning walk yesterday I saw that he now has a For Sale sign in his yard.

"I Miss the America I grew up in"

First of all, your neighbor is a fucking dumb shit, America is not a country.
Secondly, your neighbor is a fucking racist piece of shit.  Fuck him.

if this election cycle hasn't made it clear who the pubs represent, it never will be clear

well, with a nod to the rubes, dumbasses, assholes, racists, and misogynists, who can't think past their prejudice and fear, who the 'pubs represent is perfectly clear to anyone with critical thinking skills.

Interesting. During COVID I was primary caretaker for a terminally ill cancer patient. I wore a mask daily. Washed my hands religiously. Social distanced. Got vaccinated. The whole 9 yards. Still got COVID three times. Apparently, the masks didn't help much. In fact, the CDC has walked back their stance on that matter. If they're not pressing it, why are you?

You don't understand how this works, do you.  It's ok, science can hurt closed brains.

  8. Dr. Mark Galeotti, a Russian studies expert in England, has a great podcast called "In Moscow's Shadows."

In the latest, his discusses the kleptocracy that is the Russian government.

Stop me if you've heard another organization that sounds similar....

The bureaucrats, generals, and ministers, in an effort to increasingly show their worth to their autocrat leader, try to out-do each other with purer and purer adherence to the stated ideology of the government......  and turning on those who haven't reached the standards of the ever-more extreme ideology.
