Should I get boosted? Under 40, JJ vaxxed, had covid (wasn't aware until I tested for antibodies).

Not necessary and don't let anybody bully you into getting one, unless you have a health condition or over 50...unless your goal is to avoid ANY illness or mild cold.

We've lost our fucking minds freaking out over testing positive when all of us are going to get it at some point.

And all of this bullshit of boosting everyone is ultimately killing our ability to fight off Covid worldwide.

  2. Boosters for the young are not needed and are purely political - scathing review with receipts.  Bottom line - get a booster if you are old or fat but otherwise don't bother as the risk/reward calculus doesn't justify.

  3. Brilliant idea to do this in the middle of an unprecedented supply chain crisis.  And for what?  Solo truck driver dropping off his load in Montana - how much transmission is going to occur?

Certainly less transmission than dropping off a load with South Austin's Mom.

Im curious to find out the jury's thoughts on Rosenbaum raping 5 boys under 11 and serving 15 yrs in prison for it. Also, his 2 recent suicide attempts. He's quite the poster child for the left. (pun)

What this case has shown is that you can be a serial pedophile and use the n-word repeatedly (as a white man) and the media and the left will still prop you up as a martyr as long as you are on their side.

What's even more sad is the fact that some people can't accept the facts even after they have been proven in court. They just want to hang the kid because they think he's a conservative

Yep.  And I don't want to hear anything about the evils of facebook memes and russian disiniformation when we have the MSM engaging in obvious falsehoods to push a narrative.

Democrats' minds have been completely and irrevocably broken.

I certainly don't care with those fucktards think.  But my point on that is the far right extremists are guiding more of the Republican movement (as someone who voted Republican in the past), so it's hard to be dismissive of them as if their voice isn't carrying weight these days.

Ah yes the former Republican and principled conservative.  Kind of like the Lincoln Project lol.

I think that 99% of the CR regulars claim they are "principled conservatives" who are now disappointed in righties because of the "far right" yet they give the far lefties a pass on all their stupidity.  They'll bitch about the MTGs of the world yet stan for the squad.

Agreed. I said the same thing to my wife earlier. However, Trump is too self absorbed not to realize that tonight is a complete and utter repudiation of him and NOT an endorsement. Sigh…

Tonight should be proof positive that the Democrats need Trump more than the GOP.

You are ignorant for voting for Youngkin because NOTHING he has shown tells me he isn't like every other GQP politician in the US, using fear as a motivator, and willing to bend the knee to Trump.

If you think that Youngkin = Matt Gaetz or Louis Gohmert your mind is totally broken.

So the American electorate is fucking ignorant,  and you lament the choice of a candidate the democrats made ?  A bit cutting off your nose to spite your face there Pen ol girl.

Mc Auliffe is the best they could do, and you call the electorate ignorant ?

Not sure I agree with your police work there Lou.

Crazy how Virginia went from enlightened and progressive when they were voting for Obama twice and Biden by 10 points last year back to racist hillbillies while electing a black Lt gov and son of immigrant AG.

Tonight showed the way forward for the GOP - run likeable candidates, drop the conspiracy stuff, speak to issues that matter to parents and families, let the Dems continue to listen to twitter and the Squad, and refuse to take the bait when the Dems (and 99% of the CR) scream "but trump but trump but trump!"

We'll see if the party can stay this disciplined in 2022.

Radisson on Surfside.  the reviews of the hotel are...meh at best.

    Oh yeah...did I mention...I'm allergic to seafood... 🤢

  11. Will be in CC in a few weeks for a weeklong training and from my quick googling the restaurants look...underwhelming (perhaps that's why there was no thread on CC in the Surly search).

Any suggestions or am I hitting up Whataburger every night?

Lolwut? How have they incentivized border crossings? What policy changes have they done to achieve that outcome?

Perhaps incentivized is the wrong term - my apologies.

But the migrants certainly feel that the borders are open or that they can use their own kids as anchor children for some reason that didn't exist a few months ago or last year.
