Yeah trying to eat local. Kids are teenagers who like to try new foods. Definitely hitting up pearl harbor, p.c.c, helicopter tour, kauloa ranch, and most likely Hanauma bay. We are good with food trucks not so much white table cloth, maybe 1 white table cloth. Went to Mama's Fish house on Maui 23 years ago and loved it (honeymoon).

Hanauma bay? Worth the headache?

Heading with the family to Oahu in July. Staying 4 nights in Waikiki and 4 nights on the North Shore. Already have big items planned, Looking for good food recs that won't break the bank as I am not a nurse. (Teacher) also a few cheap side trips to do with family. I appreciate the info.

Wasn't a dead body found in the trash at that gas station while Metcalf was in college - it might have been the 7-11? I wonder if your buddy was working there at the time.
Was Craig James in the area?

Heading to Houston with the family to see the Savannah Bananas in March. Staying Saturday night. Sunday taking the kids to the Natural History Museum before heading back to SA. Are there any options not to far that won't cost an arm and a leg but still in a safe part of town? It has been 20 years since I was last in Houston. Help is greatly appreciated.

I'm planning on putting plants in the ground in a week or so. Wanting to plant some dwarf tomatoes. Anyone have experience or suggestions on what variety of dwarf tomato to plant?

It's 450 miles to Moscow, we got a full conformal tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it!

Reminds me of "tail pipes" at the filling station. I miss that place.

Had the churroscoe today. Better then I expected. A take on chicken and waffles. Decent.

Anyone in SA know where I can find persian or lebanese cucumber plants? Rainbow Gardens and Garden center did not have any.
