In not much of an answer to my own question, at least at one point she worked in Tennessee, but not in any kind of Hooters/etc. capacity, you know, like she was kind to him or something when he was eating by himself, he looked her up, gave her a house or two when he felt like the end was near (if he was terminally ill).

He had an ex-gf he gave a car to apparently.

Prob was banging the 29 year old as well.

Sure, as long as it didn’t directly involve troops. His drone strike policy as a substitute for boots on the ground devolved into a tyrannical US policy that propped up control in the region but also directly began and aided the evolution of ISIS. The war with Iraq was not one we could withdraw from without a much different state of affair within the region. It’s is a huge stain on the US. He won’t be remembered for that tho because of the unimaginable damage that has been wrought by his successor

Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Somalia, the genocide in Yemen, etc. A lot of blood on that administration's hands. His successor being terrible doesn't justify or change that. This thread isn't about that though.

There were reports in 2006 of huge cray computers being installed at att for the wholesale copying of the entire internet traffic. Snowden’s whistleblowing just revealed how officials with no checks were illegally using that info for personal gain amongst a litany of other offenses.

Obama sold his soul to get troops out of Iraq and it will forever be a stain on his record.

Wut. He was a total hawk.

right? After 9/11 when Bush actually did this shit literally no one cared.
now, people are worried that the gov is monitoring their calls? JFC

No one seemed to care when Snowden exposed it. That admin was not kind to whistleblowers.

Pretty fucked up if this is going to go on all over the country either planned or copycats.

I guess this new form of friendly terrorism is better than the latter??

Anthony Quinn Warner, 63, signed the property away via a quitclaim deed to Michelle Swing, a 29-year-old woman living in Los Angeles, for $0.00, according to county records.

Quinn’s signature does not appear on the November 25th transfer and she told DailyMail.com she knew absolutely nothing about it.

This is a well-publicized case, but I'd bet money that every single college had the same thing happen during covid.  Professors were mailing in their efforts to maintain course integrity so many students did the same thing with their personal integrity.

This past spring my daughter was in an advanced econ course and during an exam she noticed the group text (with several hundred members!!!!) blowing up with people sharing answers.  We were sharing my home office at the time so I saw it too.  She started taking screenshots - and she couldn't have been the only one - and after the exam she emailed them to the professor who then launched an investigation.

A few weeks later the professor contacted all the students with the following options.

    1) Admit you cheated, take an F in the class, and re-take it a different semester.

    2) Deny cheating, and if evidence shows to the contrary you will be failed, reported to the school for further action, and will NOT have the opportunity to retake the class (it's a prerequisite for many majors, you have to pass the class to get to Jr and Sr level classes.) This prevented quite a few people from completing their chosen degree path.

    3) The exam grade will be counted (with a helluva curve once calculated) for students who reported the cheating and/or were not found to have participated in the group texts.

She almost hesitated to get involved but I told her fuck that, I write the checks and if you don't report it I will.

Unlike Slorch Jr. my son got waitlisted at WP and his backup was the TASSP and A&M for his Army commission.  He served on the honor board and apparently Aggies do cheat as well.

Not to disparage the cadets who really do earn their way into WP or our other military academies, but the kid that got in ahead of my son washed out in a month - his parents had cut a pretty large check to (redacted GOP fuckface Congressman).  I'm pretty sure my ex wife just gave him a handy.

I'll betcha there are quite a few future politicians in that pool of cheaters.

    Why snitch tho??

Doesn't have enough flags, or else it'd remind me of the Roy Moore fan who was driving all over Birmingham back in the Doug Jones Wins days. Local radio hosts called him "Cousin Eddy."

But no flags, so can't be. Same way Superman can't be Clark Kent, no glasses.

You seem a little too excited about this whole thing. Idk.

I know, Reddit has a checkered past with their speculation on bombings (I.e., Boston marathon), but there was a good theory by somebody. Apparently the truck was in the middle of the street. Gunshots heard beforehand. Maybe the perps got into an argument on the way to the real target, shot at each other, then abandoned the truck setting the timer before running away.

Wild speculation, but it would explain some of the weirdness

It's a bunch of neckbeards alone on Xmas morning in their shitstained underwear throwing out whatever scenario they can dream up in their head. 'Checkered past' is an understatement.

Searched for this being discussed and didn't find it, so don't kill me if it's already been gone over. Has anyone had personal experience or heard feedback from the Tonal system that I've seen advertised on tv?  Looks like a strength training version of peloton.

    https://www.tonal.com/

It's $3,500 for 200lbs worth of 'digital weights'. You could build a home gym for that and have money left over for sessions with a personal trainer. Or get a gym membership. Or just burn your money.

  11. Get a used Lexus that was manufactured in Japan. Has everything you need as well as being in a different stratosphere in terms of reliability when compared to competitors. Audi's and BMWs are fun but turn into endless moneypits. Haven't kept up with what Nissan/Infiniti is putting out nowadays but I loved my G37.

    Tl;dr get a used Lexus

Finally made it to maintenance stage. My high was 220, 2 years ago at 5'10 and a somewhat athletic build. Not scrawny, but always kinda pudgy around the middle. No real plan, but I finally decided that I'd get into the 160's and give myself that 10 pound buffer to go either way. no 150's and no 170's.

I hit 165, so now I just need to be careful and keep it up.

But dammit all to hell, I don't know what to do about the loose skin. I'm 43 and didn't lose a ton of weight, but I'm flabby as shit.

5'10" 220 is obese unless you are an elite runningback or something. How'd you get to 165? Did you lose a lot of strength/muscle mass?
