  1. I understand it isn't the official roster, but the Twins roster on ESPN shows a group of pitchers, 2 catchers, 4 infielders, and 3 outfielders. https://www.espn.com/mlb/team/roster/_/name/min/minnesota-twins
  2. I guess Gusto was making more than the average AAAA player.
  3. By the time Buxton gets back to the Twins active roster there might not be too many players on it he recognizes or knows their names.
  4. I am pissed Dana couldn't convince them that Hummel for Buxton straight up was a fair deal after the Twins accepted a 26 year old reliever who is in A ball as the throw in prospect for the Carlos trade.
  5. Multiple hand specialist have been involved with this so we are well beyond the Astros immediate medical staff. Also, the Astros have made it pretty damn apparent they aren't going to be direct about what is truly wrong with him and goodness knows we aren't going to get anything that makes sense from Alvarez. Is is possible that Alvarez and his team keep asking for new doctors because each new specialist is an idiot, but I think maybe, just maybe they have been looking for an answer they prefer and based upon the saga with the knee he isn't a guy who likes the idea of surgery.
  6. I don't think the issue is the anatomical structure(s) involved, I suspect it is finding an effective course of action, and as I mentioned before, Alvarez wasn't too thrilled to get the microfracture surgical repair done on the knee. I truly think this has been more they knew what the problem was, had an idea where they would ultimately end up treatment wise, and they have been waiting for Alvarez and his camp to agree with the surgical option. All conjecture on my part, but I don't believe the medical staff doesn't know what is wrong with the hand.
  7. I have never heard or read anything specific, but the only two bones I have heard in the hand that have an issue healing on their own are the navicular and the hamate. With the description, the injured area isn't at the base of the thumb, and the hamate would be the bone that makes sense with what others have said the issue is the end of the bat applying pressure to the area. Sad part is there is a good track record with the surgery and they have wasted a good deal of recovery and rehab time.
  8. No such such as a remake THAT NEEDS to happen.
  9. Alvarez isn't even hitting in live games right now. He needs to have the surgery and get ready for next year. They can't replace what he can do when he is healthy, but he ain't healthy and they definitely replaced his current form which is a guy hitting soft toss and off a tee.
  10. Don't love tying up $30M with Carlos the next two years and the lose of draft pick, but it is Crane's money and team. He did say he wants to contend each year so I guess let it rip. Each one of those guys actually is better than the players other than Dubon in those spots, allows Altuve to be a pure DH and out of left field, Dubon in center ain't bad, and there is some roster flexibility in games .
  11. So Dubon to center now with Urias and Carlos taking 2nd and 3rd, Sanchez in outfield/dh?
  12. Sounds as if Carlos needs to switch from doing commercials for HEB and become a spokeman for The Good Feet Store.
  13. He didn't say August of which year.
  14. I was actually okay with taking the 30M and signing the Polar Bear since you are asking.......
