Excited to see the DL hire but I’m more excited to see how we fill out the support staff. I bet that some of those Bama support staffers are going to end up in Austin. Hopefully we can get some of their recruiting and player personnel people too.

I am seeing some smoke on twitter about the Eagles letting go of most of their Defensive staff, but it seems like the vast majority want to retain Rocker so I guess we shall see.

Ed O seems to be the splashy choice. Apparently Bo was the ‘enforcer’ on the defensive staff as well with PK and the other coaches having a more laid back coaching style. So whoever we hire needs to have some hardaas in him

This is the type of move that big boy programs do. Reminds me of Ohio State snagging Alex Grinch from his DC job in Pullman to make him linebackers coach

After reading some of the meltdowns on Florida and Aggy boards I just want to say that it feels so great that early playing time is not our top recruiting pitch anymore. Lmao we have come a long way

This is truly a Trust the Corches situation for me. They've done a good job managing headcases like Agiye thus far. If they think Evan is worth the risk, go for it. If not, I get it
I agree. Plus, if our culture is truly as good as it’s being made out to be, then i trust that it can police itself. One thing that I do know is that A&M had a bad culture and Jimbo has a history of not caring about his players off the field as much as he cared about their performance on the field. So, if Sark thinks the kid is redeemable and worthy of a chance here then I will trust him and root for the kids success. Ultimately, it could end up saving the kids life, and that makes it all worth it to me. And if Sark decides to punt on it, then I understand and support it 100%.

It’s only 8:30, WR’s are divas. But for a guy who is supposed to be participating in bowl practices later this week, this is not ideal. Still, it wouldn’t be a real signing day without a little drama.

Having seen him live on Saturday, Alex January is probably my favorite defensive player in this class. He is a mountain of a man and he reminds me of A’shawn Robinson. He’s the got the prototypical Bama/UGA/Auburn type D-lineman frame. Really excited about him

Leaving Austin for Denton will do that to you. Lol. Great to have him back!
