Bro lmaoooo its so crazy that Herman did all the work to get upgrades and he won't ever even get to step foot in the office that the designed

If y'all were betting men who would you wager on as being our next commitment?

Did we have a thread for walk-ons? Nahlin is hinting that we're going to pick up a pretty good PWO today. I noticed that Banks followed this guy on Twitter.
Also Michael Taffee the white DB from Westlake, he was followed by Gideon and he has been liking a bunch of Texas stuff. He is the one that caught those picks off Ewers.

Right, some of whom might be an easier pull than a guy from Del Valle who has never shown any interest in going to college close to home.
Yep. im just ready to get some momentum in this 2022 class, definitely expect a big time QB commit soon to get the ball rollin

Had his mind set on going OOS from the jump. I guess something could change, but we've got lower degree of difficulty elites out there at WR.
yeah but judging by the offers that have gone out already, we are gonna have a national recruiting strategy, im pretty sure the new staff has offered more OOS guys than in. state so far for 2022
-
Whats the word on Caleb Burton? is he all tOSU or does he have any longhorn ties? Gotta think a full court press on him is necessary, I saw Sark like some of his tweets so we know hes a priority target.

Doesn't exactly seem like a rainmaker
Texas recruits itself. Jason Washingtons all time list was worse and he pulled in the best DB class ever. All reports say this guy is a real coach who develops his guys, that's exactly what we need. Plus I hear that we are putting in some serious money on the recruiting department with several staff members so im not worried about that at all.

The Milwee comments are odd in that I'm not sure how many great non-playcalling OC/QB coaches are out there and willing to be hired at a place where you're not going to get much of the credit for your work. I suppose Ohio State has done it, but they're in a different place as a program than we are right now.
Both sides have valid points. I mean Ohio State had Mike Yurcich as their QB coach and he was a sitting OC of a top 15 offense the year before. However the role of a QB coach isn't to recruit, its to help the OC with game planning and be an aid in the technical development of QB's. Milwee played college FB and knows this offense and will help with the transition. if he can actually aid in play calling that's a bonus, but as an analyst his job was to break down opposing defenses, he is familiar with what sark wants and the lingo he speaks so when we play tcu he can say "hey remember what we did last year against Auburn.." that's a big deal imo. So while we probably couldve hired a more qualified guy we probably ended up with the right guy. So excited to kick peoples ass.

Do not want a regarded coach. The last two staffs were full of regards so I've seen enough of that.
I see what you did there!

At this point, I think I'd take a good teacher of the off-ball linebacker position who's a decent/plus recruiter at his position over the elite bagman who is a question mark as a coach.
from what I understand, Lupoi is regarded as a great position coach

We getting that Nansen guy from UCLA for the last spot? Remember him being mentioned several pages ago. Looks like he's the DL coach at UCLA but was ILB coach at USC before.
This would be fine although im sure there are better options available. If coach K is indeed an average recruiter, then we need one more rainmaker.

Tennessee notwithstanding.
I get that but if Pruitt were to call Saban right now and tell him he wants in Saban would move mountains to bring him in. He had a bad run at Tennessee but he is well respected in the industry. If we would've been excited for muschamp we should be doing cartwheels for Pruitt, he is the real deal.
