Hard for me to trust Sark given his track record prior to Texas and him losing so many close and winnable games at Texas.

I am rooting hard for him though.  Part of me has a feeling he will always be about -1 or so of what our team should do in wins and losses.

I root for TEXAS.  That is all.  :)

I don't understand why this board likes the Pirate so much when he screwed us in the polls in 2008 after giving up vs. OU, giving OU a rout.

We liked the pirate mainly because of his aggy comments.  The point is,  baylor didn't beat any of the teams. Voted for ou out of spite all while trying to chummy up to us in case any more realignment came around.  The wanted to be  our tag along.   Fuck them.  I hope we never schedule them again.

The shanked FG against ISU cost us our chance and it was all the reason they needed to keep us out. When you're not a blue blood the margin of error is zero. It also cost Weeden the Heisman. The only way I cope with it is to convince myself we wouldn't have given OU the beat down we did had the NC game been on the line. Or something. That game killed college football for me and I haven't really given much of a shit since.

So.....one game?  As a Texas fan I don't know where to start.   :(

On IT, Burton said SMU was really upping its NIL game, and big. Who wouldn’t want that in their conference? A great recruiting school that can’t attract fans or viewers, but can lay a whipping on you?

Is this what they did in the 70's and 80's? They were visionaries.  😁

Haha good luck buddy. Camel at sea and the Okie State dudes are about to hit you you with some charts.

I love charts.  OSU, beller,  tech have never been without support from big brother.  Charts from the past don't mean dick.  It will be interesting.

No way in hell will a Pac 12 deal without the LA schools come anywhere near that of the Big XII.  The value and demand simply isn't there with the remaining programs.  Those rooting for the Pac 12 can't seem to swallow their pride.

I can't figure out how anyone thinks the B12 is worth 50m per school minus TX-ou.  I don't see the value.  I don't see the conference as being all that stable.  Who are the big names? BYU, WV, UCF will be logging lots of miles.  I see lots of empty seats.   Just my thoughts.

The Big 12 is doing interesting things that the fourth best conference should be doing. Games in Mexico, conference pro days. Both cool ideas, but beneath Texas and OU.

I still think they screwed up adding UCF and Cincy, probably BYU, but Yormark seems to have a vision tondrive the conference forward. Best of luck to the Irate8 - TCU, Tech, Baylor, and Okie State.

    Fuck Baylor.

  8. This has to be a slap in the face to the left behinds.  Does anyone really think there would be all this fuss if bayler wanted to leave.  FOX wouldn't care if we replaced them with Tulsa or Tulane cause bayler was no loss.   Fuck'em.

I don’t know that there’s a “rule,” but it seems reasonable to play in Fort Worth and Waco because they just played in Austin. They’re almost certainly going to be on the schedule. If you think it’s advantageous for Texas to turn two quasi-home games into trips to Florida or Cincinnati or Utah — because Texas is going to have road conference games — it would be interesting to know why.

Whatever happens, happens.   If we do,  we do,  if we don't,  we don't.  My response was to the comment that  beller and tcu will insist because of long time rivalries.   Fuck them.

TCU and Baylor, sure. They came to Austin this season. Tech can come to Austin this year. Maybe Iowa State loses out to Houston or someone else for a Texas road game. Maybe KSU, KU, or OSU lose out to someone on coming to Austin.

So in the many years we have played these guys we have been keeping track of how many times we have played where?  They came to Austin this year because we went to their house the year before.   There is no rule that says where you play the last game.   Fuck both of those dipshits.

TCU is good and has scoreboard on us, but let’s not make their squad this year out as world beaters in our backyard. They beat us, but only by one touchdown. The last 10-12 years have seen us lose a lot of games. They aren’t even the conference champs. You need a bit of luck to win it all, and they’ve had some. But they’re not champs of anything unless/ until they beat a Georgia team that is actually a conference champ, a defending national champ, undefeated, loaded with talent, etc.

I don't understand.   Who are the conference Champs?
