Try this:  get drunk or stoned and fall down on the sidewalk, you may be injured.  Get drunk or stoned and fall in the water, you will probably drown.

It’s not like the lake being there, or the bars being there is new.

Also, what is the percentage of men versus women who “drowned”?   Even if you say it would likely be more men than women if accidental you wouldn’t think it would be overly uneven.  Then look at the reality of the numbers.

The incidents (at this higher numbers) are a new phenomena and are largely male.

I think it's pretty well adjusted to consider Zionists functionally and morally equivalent to Nazis, yeah. Thanks!

No.  It is complete rhetoric and exposes the speaker.  So keep it up.

Unfortunately it's not as easy as hitting their sites and saying it's over now peace.  What happens if they close the strait or start hitting what's left of our forces in iraq, Syria, Kuwait or Saudi with their CRBMs? I hope our involvement in this is over, but the dildo of unintended consequences,  well you know the rest.

True, but doing anything of substance would lead to massive US response and active efforts for regime change.  The mullah’s want to survive first and foremost.  And shutting Hormuz impacts them as much as others and severely impacts China oil supply…and China is going to be their main supporter for peace in order to avoid disturbing the flow of oil.

Us in a war with Iran is good for no one, you blind moron.

Why do people keep saying war?  Iran may say that but assuming the bombings destroyed the nuclear facilities we are done.  We are not putting boots on the ground.  Will they try to strike out through terrorists or their proxies, yes if they can.  But Hamas and Hezbollah  are severely weakened and that leaves Houthis and maybe attacking US bases in Iraq or the area.   But any immediate direct Iranian attack will likely be a show of force for perception purposes.  Worst thing they can do is directly cause some real damage because that would invite more US attacks.

If it really was Iran's fault, are you admitting that all the civilian deaths in Gaza were war crimes?

Yes, every Hamas human shield is a War crime committed by Hamas.  We are in agreement.

With a kid that just passed his driver's test, i get the student driver thing.  It works as I cut some slack when I see those.   I just don't get the baby on board.  As pointed out above sex trophy makes the most sense

To be fair, the Student Driver sticker is also a sex trophy but with more retrospection.

Roughly 40% of the Corps of Cadets pursue a commission after graduation.  The difference for the 20-30% of Cadets on ROTC scholarship is that they do training during the summers and have an obligation to serve upon graduation, or they are on the hook financially.

To be fair, the Cadets at West Point or Air Force and Navy MIdshipmen are not active military personnel, with the exception of that prior service candidate who is pursuing a commission.  My son and his buddies would joke about people at the airports thanking them for their service.  They'd be like, "Thank you, but not quite yet..."  Upon graduation, the commission ceremony commonly occurs that afternoon and is a big part of the weekend.

Aggy serves its purpose as one of 6 Senior Military Colleges in the US. Virginia Tech, Norwich, North Georgia, VMI, and the Citadel are the others.  Aggy just likes to overstate their contributions; which is majorly on-schedule for them.

When you say 40% that is not 40% of all students who join the corps, but approximately 40% of seniors.  Overall cadet Corps is around 2,300.  See below for latest senior class, attrition etc.  To the 165 commissioned that is great, but there were 514 who started Cosplaying as Freshman with this class not part of this 165 and 278 other seniors who Cosplayed for 4 years and decided not to seek a commission.

In May 2024, Texas A&M's Corps of Cadets commissioned 165 officers into the U.S. Armed Forces, the largest class in nearly 40 years.

For the Class of 2024, 443 cadets completed their four years in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, out of an original cohort of 679 students. This means that 65% of the cadets who began in the Class of 2024 completed their four years in the Corps.

I don’t think some posters on here realize or understand that Israel attacking Iran with American support is going to lead to significant future attacks on Americans. We are in the early stages of what’s going to become likely a multiyear shitshow imo.

You mean like the time before when Israel attacked Iran?  Or the time before that?  Or the time before that? ....

Iran is going to Iran, but now with a change in several leaders and a loss of being able to become a nuclear power.  Same as it ever was.

It led to the crippling of communications for Hezbollah - they can’t use cell phones (Because their hands were blown off) and they don’t trust pagers (Because their nuts were blown off).  At the least, it’s probably reduced their effectiveness (To masturbate and reproduce) quite a bit.

    Updated for clarity.

Not to brag on my kids any more. But both of them got straight As on their report card. I get weekly update from my daughter's school, so no surprise there. My son OTOH doesn't give as much shit to learning, so it was a nice surprise.

The picture below is a joke, but deep down, I do agree with this....thinks Asian, Jewish and Indian parents everywhere.

    Fixed it.

Old guy talk incoming.  You've been warned.

When I was a kid both of my parents were teachers.  My dad worked various jobs during the summer to make ends meet while my mom stayed home with us.  Usually he or my mom were working on graduate degrees as well.  Every day, including weekends, was the same: get up and eat breakfast, then my mom would put us out of the house saying, "Be back in when the street lights come on.  Don't come back in before that unless someone is bleeding or dieing."  Our city had a low cost summer program with swimming instruction, Red Cross Lifesaving classes, theater, crafts, and other sports and activities.  In the mornings we would go to these, then run amok frm noon until dark.  It was fabulous.  And other than the fact that I post here, we turned out almost normal and nearly civilized.

Tell me you are Gen X without telling me you are Gen X.
