The fact that they’re so weird actually gives them perpetual hope. The new coach either “goes against the grain” and makes them modern and cool (Sumlin) or he’s “old school” and takes them “back to the days of Junction.” Hard nosed, take no bullshit.
They can vacillate between those two constantly and convince themselves each time that it’s true.

This is just dumb. By this definition, the Pilgrims were quitters. They could have stayed in England but they were dissatisfied with their situation in their current country so they just quit. And Willie Nelson? A quitter. He was dissatisfied with his situation in Nashville so he just quit and moved to Austin. And guess what? He ended up winning. Platitudes like "quitters never win and winners never quit" are disproved by history, which is filled with examples of people who "quit" one thing/place and ended up winning somewhere else.
Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Michael Dell. Quitters and losers.

I don’t prescribe this shit and am too drunk to do research but curious, is this directly correlated to the medication or nutrient deficiency from appetite reduction?
I believe it's through appetite reduction. Although when I started taking it I seemed to lose weight immediately even when I didn't change my diet that much. Plus the weight loss is limited, not continuous as you might expect from a general reduction in caloric intake (given a similar amount of caloric burn).

When did aggy post a 13-0 record?
Not their record. It’s the score of a game they win against us and, allegedly, branded into our mascot. They claimed it’s named Bevo because we modified the 13 - 0 to read BEVO.

Texas visits Sunshine State WR committed to Oregon
Per a source at Tampa Tech High, Texas assistant coach Jeff Banks was by the Southwest Florida school for multiple hours to watch Oregon 5-star wide receiver commit Dallas Wilson.
Wilson, 6-3 and 180, committed to Oregon January 17 over Miami and Florida. He has official visits scheduled to Miami June 7-9, Florida June 14-16 and Oregon June 21-23.
The Longhorns offered Wilson September 26, 2023 and have quietly been recruiting him since. Jeff Banks stopped by the school in January. Texas is working to get an official visit from the Sunshine State smooth moving playmaker.
Does anyone know Florida’s nickname?

Busted coverage aside, that throw lead the receiver to catch it almost perfectly in stride.

I swear I think someone did a "where are they now?" follow-up years later on the guy and they actually interviewed him.
He posted on Shaggy a few years back. He ended up going to Tech even though he was "permanently banned" after the goalpost incident. I think he even auctioned off the Gap T-shirt for charity at that time. Vincent somethingorother.

I think it's just that there are no good photos of him. He's so doughy.

Well, he fulfills the main prerequisite. He hates Texas a lot.

Wasn't a dead body found in the trash at that gas station while Metcalf was in college - it might have been the 7-11? I wonder if your buddy was working there at the time.
Yes. I recall that in my time there.
They were asking for it.

I think my favorite part about this statue is that there's absolutely no detail around the guys FUPA/crotch. Just smoothly-flowing curves as if he were wearing a mumu. It's like the sculptor thought it would be too gay to sculpt around the dude's junk so he just decided to leave that part out.

Seatbelt?
Is that cause he's in charge of Safety? #1 in Protection?
YouTube channel Deeestroying does WR/DB competitions all over the country. When a DB locks down a receiver or bats a ball away, they say the receiver was “strapped” and do the motions of putting on a seatbelt.

Agreed. ATM should've tried to hire Lane for sure except the personality mismatch was way too high. Imo Lane has as good of a resume as anyone for a top tier job at this point. Getting Ole Miss to consistent top 10/15 through multiple QB cycles, staff turnover, etc, is very impressive.
Did you set the hoops they went through to convince themselves they could appeal to “urban” kids when they hired Sumlin? AgSwag. Swagcopter with the maroon vinyl wrap. Drake being friends with the QB
There isn’t a bigger cultural gap than what they tried there.

I think spring semester of 1990 might have been the inauguration of Tex. I started in Fall 1990 and Tex is all I ever used.
Sounds about right. A coding error in Tex might have been responsible for my whole career. I owe that dramatic bastard as lot.

A pay or play deal I guess. I know I'd cash a check for eating a sandwich, so I don't blame Keegan.
In that situation they’re getting paid anyway.

So why did AT&T pay Keegan Michael-Key to be in that ad, not some rando?
Sometimes they have stars under contract for a certain amount of time or appearances. If they’re planning on moving on they might just use up those stipulated appearances.
i worked on the Microsoft account and they had Kevin Spacey on contract (before he was all sex harrassy). He was contractually required to come read for something I was casting VOs for but he refused.
He told them they could sue him if they wanted to. But he was still contractually obligated and we didn’t want to work with him anyway.

Oh my God, the sheathing of the sword celebration by DBs has to stop.
It’s not a sword. It’s a seatbelt. YouTube channel deestroying uses to say the receiver is “strapped.”
