  1. Well, he fulfills the main prerequisite. He hates Texas a lot.
  2. Yes. I recall that in my time there. They were asking for it.
  3. I think my favorite part about this statue is that there's absolutely no detail around the guys FUPA/crotch. Just smoothly-flowing curves as if he were wearing a mumu. It's like the sculptor thought it would be too gay to sculpt around the dude's junk so he just decided to leave that part out.
  4. YouTube channel Deeestroying does WR/DB competitions all over the country. When a DB locks down a receiver or bats a ball away, they say the receiver was “strapped” and do the motions of putting on a seatbelt.
  5. Man, mid-80s Deborah Foreman. She didn't do much acting but in that movie she was the best thing there was.
  6. Did you set the hoops they went through to convince themselves they could appeal to “urban” kids when they hired Sumlin? AgSwag. Swagcopter with the maroon vinyl wrap. Drake being friends with the QB There isn’t a bigger cultural gap than what they tried there.
  7. Sounds about right. A coding error in Tex might have been responsible for my whole career. I owe that dramatic bastard as lot.
  8. The excessive exposition was actually the funniest part for me.
  9. In that situation they’re getting paid anyway.
  10. Sometimes they have stars under contract for a certain amount of time or appearances. If they’re planning on moving on they might just use up those stipulated appearances. i worked on the Microsoft account and they had Kevin Spacey on contract (before he was all sex harrassy). He was contractually required to come read for something I was casting VOs for but he refused. He told them they could sue him if they wanted to. But he was still contractually obligated and we didn’t want to work with him anyway.
  11. It’s not a sword. It’s a seatbelt. YouTube channel deestroying uses to say the receiver is “strapped.”
  12. Not a single acute angle on that fucker.
  13. So we’ll see the release of the Liucci 2 list today?
  14. They're digital billboards possibly on a rotation. So you just send the company a digital image. I'd suspect the AD is sending them out. Not that expensive but pays back big time on perception and cool factor for the kids.
  15. Yes. Absolutely agree. If that is your main business now and not a side hustle to the website they need to improve their production quality. Backgrounds, lighting, microphones. Clean up the bottom third graphics (they're either huge or disproportionately small or insignificant looking. They basically need a graphics and production specialist. Hell, if I lived in Austin I'd probably volunteer to help them out.
  16. Basically the same with my 12 yo. She has done a bunch of clinics and tried out for one club team, which we, as a family probably took for granted. She didn’t make that team but we’ve been going to private lessons with the money we “saved” from not doing club. Find a good private coach and you’ll see huge improvements quickly. My kid’s hitting is night and day better than a couple months ago and now probably better than some of her friends that got onto club teams. She still has a way to go but the improvement is obvious and quick.
  17. Still can’t get over this abomination and that he posted it because he was proud of it. I’m no Aaron Franklin but I don’t think the brisket is supposed to be absorbing moisture from the cutting board.
  18. So the best news they have to report is that they’re giving recruits something to think about?
  19. WTF? This looks like the raw motion capture footage of a Godzilla movie.
  20. Yes. I was telling since friends I was watching with today that Volleyball is the only sport where the men’s version is less fun to watch than the women’s. Usually at best it’s a push like in tennis.
