The U.S. military industrial complex enriched itself under the guise of opposing fascism and ending the depression via the lend-lease program which needlessly prolonged and escalated the war in Europe, which otherwise might very well have been over by early 1942.

Could you expand on this. Who would have won and how would this have affected the war in the Pacific?

I haven't read the books, but I hope they run through them in order.

If you haven't read the books, how will you know if they are in order?

Why do women gets so pissed when you tell them they snore? My wife will lay on her side and snore directly into my left ear. I have to sleep with ear plugs and it still doesn't stop the noise. She takes meds to sleep and it's impossible to wake her up at night. I have to shake her to wake her enough to roll over. After about 3-4 nights of 5 hours or less sleep, I try to talk to her about it. When I mention she snores, she goes ballistic. Every damn time I mention it a fight ensues.

Record her and play it back for her. Let us know what she says.

t's true tho, my great grandparents were made of different stuff being kids during the great depression. I'd maybe put the oldest boomers (kids who had to deal with WW2 rationing and family members going off to likely die) in with them, but its a steep decline starting with younger boomers on through zoomers..

The oldest boomers were born in 1946, after the war was over.

I have been getting intense pain in a bone on the outside of my knee.  It lasts for about 30 seconds, then goes away completely.  Happens 2-3 times a week for the last month or so.  Intertrons tell me it could be a number of things, my thought is that if it was something serious it would hurt constantly.  Anybody want to convince me I need to start chipping away at my deductible to figure out what is causing this?

I started having pain in the side of my knee several years ago, my sister suggested Glucosamine. I started taking 1000 mg twice a day and the pain stopped in a matter of days. I still take it and the pain hasn't returned.

  6. I've had the steady high pitched noise in both ears for years. It was caused by 4 years on the flightline working on B52's and then 40 odd years in noisy machine shops.

It bothers me more some times than others and reading this thread really brought it out.
