  1. Knew something was up with him when he had no excitement when the team found out they were going to the Sugar Bowl.  Had a look like now I have to wait a little while longer to transfer.

He seemed to get worse the longer he was here.

Players in the secondary are still looking lost after 3 years of the same system.  Something has got to change.

I think the more useful question is why did Sark choose to hire this guy? He clearly could have hired some old retread with the budget we have for assistants.

    This!

He was obviously on Sark’s short list.  I doubt Sark went into the search only looking at Rod; that would be a very poor search no matter Rod’s qualifications.  Like do we really believe Sark just threw a dart on the board and hired this guy.  Bet everyone would have a different tune if $9.95ers had been pumping him for weeks.

  3. Guessing the plan is to rely on offense next year. Which makes sense with Quinn returning. Hopefully with all this talent Sark either rotates more or trusts the back ups to come in when the starters are having a bad day or gimpy. Still mystified Brooks wasn’t the starter at the beginning of the season and took him getting injured for Blue to see any significant time on the field.

it's scripted based on down and distance, the 40 play thing is being way overblown.

Is that why we always throw on first down since we need 10 yards?  If you always throw on first down it no longer becomes a surprise.  And is then compounded by the inevitable run on second and long.

Personally I’m not against the script or flow chart presumably they are plays that the players have shown they execute well in practice.   My issues are not going back to the well for plays that actually worked in game and the predictability.

Sometimes you don’t need to out scheme your opponent you just need to find the personnel advantage and exploit it.

Amazing job this season, and the trajectory of the program is without a doubt pointing up.

As for last night, I don’t attribute the loss to some glaring coaching failure. Sure there were questionable decisions, but Washington was built to exploit our one weakness and they absolutely balled out. Hat tip, and get ready for next season.

Problem is their coaching staff exploited our weaknesses and even add wrinkles to their playbook to attack us with QB runs when they never run with Penix.  And when we saw an advantage in our run game we immediately went back to passing it nonstop.
