Am I crazy or do all the posts in this topic look familiar?
Also I think some of you may need to realize Arch isn't actually Peyton Manning. I hope he will be great here but he is still a true freshman who hasn't taken a single snap.

Ewers and Brooks were getting for sure 8 yards almost each check down. Give me that all day
If this is the case why did the offense completely stall after the first quarter? Why doesn't Sark just keep doing something until the defense adjusts?

If he plays next week I hope he does well. Glad he didn’t totally flame out under the pressure and do something stupid.

God Sark is talking like he is clueless during post game press conference. If he says one more time that the opposing team showed looks they didn’t show on film he needs a mental examination. News flash Sark teams are going to run a 3-3-5 on defense and attack our safeties over the middle. Maybe have foresight to realize actual coaches attack other teams weaknesses. He should try it sometime instead mindlessly calling random plays.

Our fans have always been morons. Water is wet. You want to bitch about the fake FG call, sure fair game. But "Sark" isn't the one that stalled our O. Our IOL are playing like absolute shit getting no push against a light front we should absolutely be able to run against and QE is playing way too fucking conservative.
And yet he keeps trying to run behind the IOL. He calls the plays that’s his fault. -
Let’s see if Sark decides to waste another possession here or opens the offense back up.

Why is Franklin unable to recruit a QB?

UCF getting penetration with DL movement.
It was like we stayed as vanilla as possible on D last game and when we blitzed we brought players right into their extra blockers
Yep our blitzes are either schemed wrong or our players don’t understand timing. Drives me crazy watching our blitzers just run right into the blockers. -
I do have to call out the fact that every reporter asked each player and coach at media day this week about the spin around screen pass and sark went out there and ran it right away like the other team didn’t have coaches.

Galvin Holmes is a poor tackler.
-
If you are going to play for a field goal you need to run the clock not stay in hurry up. Sark was a bone head all game. And holy shit we couldn't tackle at all today.

Does Catalon ever come in and wrap up. Just lowers his shoulder.
Maybe now we will mix in some run and stop with the sideways passes Sark likes to waste time with.

Is he really claiming the receivers ran the wrong deep routes? How? Did they run them too deep and too fast? It’s not as if Quinn threw it to a different location on the field than the receivers the balls were just short.

its not ENTIRELY a QB problem.
Worthy still cant seem to track a long ball, and he got that illegal touch penalty because he got lazy and lollygagged OOB when he didnt need to.
That ball would have been a first down around the 15.
but, conversly he made a spectacular catch that, as pointed out above the fucking review refs overturned.
At no point during that review was there a single frame that showed the ball touching the ground. Now, I agree that it LOOKED like it did, but there was no difinitive proof and that was called a catch. Yet the review refs took it upon themselves to ignore the wording of their job and overturn a call that had no proof it should be overturned.
He tracked the two that Quinn threw to him pretty well catching one out of bounds and almost coming up the other through the defender. Both bad balls by Quinn. -

I had this same convo earlier. It reminds me, horrifyingly, of the Simms vs Applewhite conundrum. I'm sure Ewers looks great in practice. If he can't turn it on under the lights, I don't give a fuck about practice. There are plenty of people who don't perform well in games, but look great in practice. It's on the coaches to figure that out.
Sark said something kind of similar in the post game in reference to Jayden Blue basically implying he was almost surprised at how well he ran when he got in the game because Blue doesn’t run like that in practice.
I don’t know what happens in practice but what we’ve seen in games now for a year from Quinn isn’t awe inspiring.
If it translates to wins I don’t care how ugly it is but Sark can’t let him throw us out of games like he did last season.

Dam Burke should of got that sack.
-
Why is Sark allergic to running a two minute offense to end halves?
-
All Brooks does is make plays.

Was hoping J'Mond Tapp could have been someone to emerge as a pass rusher, and I know it's early, but I don't think I've seen his name mentioned yet.
PK mentioned him in his press conference with Ethan Burke and Finkley as D ends that are emerging around Sorrell.- 1

I will be shocked, if Murphy is named the starter over Arch next year. Murphy has a big arm, probably the biggest in the Texas QB room. That is also the least important trait to project QB success. He is also the least athletic QB in the room, so he is going to have to be extremely adapt at reading defenses.
Every QB needs to be adapt at reading defenses. What makes you think Murphy is incapable of doing so and behind Arch is this category? Quinn and Arch aren't exactly dual threat QBs and I don't think Sark is recruiting QBs based on the running ability. In the end Arch will be the starter next year but because that the deal just like with Quinn. Arch could be better than Murphy next fall or worse but he will be the starter no matter what.

Arch looked sharp. He knew where to go with the ball a majority of the time & tucked it if needed. He may be the least physically gifted of the QB room though. If Malik continues his developmental trajectory I don’t see why he wouldn’t return next season to take that job, assuming Quinn moves on.
I think all 3 QBs looked good and could tweak things here and there but all looked like they belong on the field. I think people are just geeking about Maalik because we have been constantly fed this notion that he was some type of project who never played QB before and would need 5 years just to learn how to throw.

Well, I have done it. Obviously not at that level, but it is a little different. You still feel the pressure, but a little part of your brain knows it’s not as much of a risk. But the more important part of my post was that he would’ve been clobbered in a real game. Defense would’ve been coming much faster, and directly at him. Rather than slowing up and taking a slightly off-target line towards him.
I’m confused was Murphy playing by different rules than the other QBs? Were they allowed to get hit. Are you implying Murphy who played on a high school team where he was bigger than his OL is unaccustomed to being pressured?
He played great under the same conditions as the other QBs, what’s there to “what if” about?- 4

I feel the same whether it’s Arch or Maalik. Sark will be doing them and the team a disservice if they go out against BYU and go run, run and pass on 3rd and long.
