This.  I obviously am a fan of and love Ohio State athletics but I'm far more proud of the work being done at the Stephanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center than anything done by a sports team.

You've been here for a long time. You surely understand the Texas fan's perspective on some level. Ripping on the Big 10 or a particular school and comparing that to another conference or school is in no way our way of showing favor. We hate all of you fucking assholes. We're going to the SEC for money and power. Same as it ever was. There will be no spirit of camaraderie and no new positive bias towards how most of us see that conference or the largely backwater schools and fanbases inside of it.

Yeah, I get the perspective and it wasn't a dig at Texas but at the ways of the SEC in general.

Harbaugh has the one thing that has proven to hide the flaws of average coaches. A transcendent QB. Look at what Jimbo got from a season of Crab Legs. With or without the plays Michigan still has a boatload of seniors on the team, and a QB that is going to end up in New York on Heisman night. That is good enough to beat up on any of the teams in the big ten and at least get them back to the playoffs.

Funny that this quarterback threw three interceptions against Bowling fucking Green earlier this season.

The NCAA acknowledges this is not a major advantage. The rules committee actually considered repealing 11.6.1 a couple years ago. Their rationale:

Rationale: The Board of Directors Infractions Process Committee requested that the Legislative Committee Modernization of the Rules Subcommittee focus its rules modernization efforts on identifying rules that no longer serve the needs of the membership and the 21st century student-athlete, and recommending modifications to or the elimination of such rules. Specifically, livestreams of intercollegiate competition and prerecorded game film are readily available in the digital age. The minimal competitive advantage gained by scouting future opponents in-person is outweighed by the monitoring and enforcement burdens of ensuring compliance with the legislation.

Go out beat Penn State, Ohio State, and whoever from the west makes the B1G championship and this becomes a non story. Go out and drop games to any of these teams, and look bad doing it and it becomes "see what happens when the playing field is equal"

Michigan has to handle their business. Pedo and O$U looked pretty rough last week, Michigan should smash them.

Dude, There is a huge difference between scouting an opponenet and knowing exactly what play they just sent in.  I know you're smarter than this.

I guess its a good thing they have the rest of the season to see which it was.... if Michigan implodes I will take my lumps. If they pound Pedo and Ohio state on the way to the playoffs again, I think it will be pretty clear that they actually may be talented.

They're talented.  I will give you that for sure and they are well coached.  It appears they may be too well coached.

I haven’t read the whole thread. Trying to build up United points. Do I just cancel my Chase United card now that I’ve received my sign up points? What next? Get an Amex for the points then go back to Chase next year for more points?

Amex points don't transfer to United.  I'd go with the Sapphire tree and start accumulating MR points which can be transferred directly to United.
