CNN reporter just says only 100k ballots outstanding in Georgia vs Trump's 118k lead.ย She then talked about what counties and which way they lead and didn't seem to understand than with those numbers it's done.
This also means no one but the state had the any sense of the real numbers at all.ย MSNBC is still reporting there are 369k pending, but tracking at the same percentages.ย I overestimated the day of turnout several days ago, and the networks also were pretty much in line with that.ย Turns out, both are overages by about 275k.ย ย

So at the end of the day, the most important issue to swing voters was inflation, so they rehired the guy responsible for the inflation.ย In the end the rest of the issues are largely on the periphery.ย ย

She needs 77% of the Atlanta metro to pull ahead.ย I'd say that's pretty unlikely...
There is what appears to be 60ishk in Dekalb that will be 85% Dem.ย So that's a start.ย ย

Holy shit that looks tight. She needs about 58 to 60 percent of that if those numbers are correct to win the state and deal a big blow to trumpย
Yeah, and I'm not sure how accurate that number is.ย ย

Not sure, 71.1% reporting in total there.ย ย

msnbc shows 774k of votes still to count in Georgia.ย Trump with 140k lead after the Gwinnett data dump.ย ย

So that and the Dekalb remaining votes would get us there...but barely. SIgh.ย
It still looks promising to me, would I like it to be us in front with him with no chance to catch us? Absolutely, then the math is easy.ย Right now, it's a headache, but far from over.ย ย

How much does she need?
Right now about 250k to catch him, and about 700k to 50%.ย The margins around the urban areas all favor her, so for now, just a guess she is trailing by about 100k would be my guess, but the rest of the margins from there out should favor us.ย But we are definitely going to be playing catch up to the finish line.ย ย

What percentage of the remaining GA outstanding votes are from Democratic strongholds?ย She needs a big margin victory on the remaining votes.ย
Well the big one is Gwinnett approximately 400kish is the estimate and we should pick up 60% of that

@BamaATL How you feeling? What's still outstanding?
Basically Gwinett EV, which would in all likelihood have us about even, Clarke County (Athens), Chatamn (Savannah), and then the urban margins, which favor us.ย Feeling ok.
Magic Number is now looking to be about 2.75 million (50% for either candidate)

1.5 million outstanding would put the total at somewhere near 5.5 million for Georgia.ย ย

Anyone writing off Georgia should go find the graphic John King just put on the board that showed where the outstanding votes are at. Lots of blue in that view.

19 small counties in Georgia haven't reported at all - but that will be it for the red mirage.ย ย From there on out, it's margins in Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta and Athens, primarily.ย ย

Q: when they say that 53% of precincts reporting, does that mean raw number? In other words, 53/100 total precincts have sent their results? It's devoid of information about how many voters each precinct represents, right?
depends on each area by state, which only serves to make it more confusing.ย ย
