What a fucking loser.  It's Gisele man. This guy looks like he just rolled out of his bean bag chair and on to the stage.

The best part about all of this is it destroys the bullshit pseudo-intellectual façade these assholes had built up around effective altruism and longtermism.

Here I agree with you. Effective altruism has weird communist vibe. It’s all for the greater good.

Can we start up a surly crypto?  Seems easy.  We just make up a name, and start cranking it out.

Some press releases about how its the next greatest thing - better than the last one.

When some idiots come along and want in - we jack the price and trickle some volume out.

Then, when we get some real action, we dump and use the cash to buy a condo in the bahamas and pay some football players.

    Did I miss a step?

I propose we call it "Gig em coin."  I've got an idea about where we might find customers.

Looch would work for Gigem Coin.

I hate to break it to you, but Austin/UT has wayyyy more crypto going on than aggy.

Oh it was in the tweet I shared. I’ve said the whole time this would be a both sides issue if politicians are involved.

Yes. I wouldn't say creditors names are commonly redacted, but it does happen, particularly when the creditors involved are individuals as opposed to business entities. You have to remember, the purpose of creating a list of creditors is so that they can be notified of the bankruptcy and submit claims.  It isn't to alert the public of the names of the creditors and investors in a bankrupt entity. There is actually a motion on file regarding the need for redaction (https://cases.ra.kroll.com/FTX/Home-DownloadPDF?id1=MjMxNDQ0Ng==&id2=-1). I think redaction here is warranted.

    Thanks for clarifying.

Online, yes. That's what happens when a nation state devotes its budget to creating chaos. It isn't even a secret anymore. They openly admit to doing it. No idea why you continue to deny it. None of this changes the fact that FTX has fuck all to do with the Clintons.

Also, redacted filings aren't unusual at all.

No, his thought is, "I can't believe they're not more critical of people whose influence he tried to buy." We don't buy into the whole FTX is really just another front for the Clinton campaign of evil, therefore we aren't taking a critical look at bad dem behavior.

I scrolled up and checked. You’re the only person that keeps bringing up the Clinton’s. Stop.

Are you an attorney? I’m surprised that creditors names would commonly be redacted in these filings. Why is that common?

Keep on reading your """fair and biased""" sources lmfao

It was clear that zerohedge wasn't operating in good faith at least 15 years ago, but plenty of shaggy/surly "icons" were fully bought in.

Further evidence that certain political bents are fully convinced their ilk are a whole lot smarter than they really are.  And so it goes.

I understand the reticence around Zerohedge posts. I don’t share any of their longer form commentary. These are bankruptcy filings. No editorializing needed.

From WaPo if it makes you feel better.

“Its top 50 creditors are owed a total of $3.1 billion, the filing showed, with the largest due $226 million.

The names of the creditors were redacted.”

So what the ZH post said.

We have a shit ton of lawyers here. Any involved with bankruptcy/restructuring? How common is it to redact the names of creditors?

Are we not offering up enough thoughts and prayers?  Is that this shit is going sideways still?  Sorry y'all, I've been slipping on my T&P regiment.

This has to be just beyond maddening for the families there right now.  To see people that didn't give fuck one about them in the first place, exploit them for gain, and then move on as if nothing had happened.

It’s a strange vibe there. “Like living in a cemetery”.

Also a sad irony is there’s a couple empty cop cars left out in front of the school to deter people with morbid curiosity from hanging around.

I took the time to click through the Teslarati article and there’s a link to an underlying legal case.  While the article says Twitter “refused to take down content even after the exploited individuals begged them to,” it neglected to mention that Twitter did an initial review, first found no violation, then removed the material after law enforcement contacted them and verified it was exploitative.

Shocker, that kind of important context being left out of “Teslarati” blog.

Well ackshually they did review it but thought it was fine. Then the cops had to make it them take it down. It’s not the own you think it is.

    Thanks for the “context”.

Im going to go out on a limb and say cleaning up the hashtags is good thing.

Interesting that Twitter did a review of complaints related to child exploitation and tightly adhered to ToS until law enforcement had to intervene. But “deadnaming” people got you the axe immediately. Priorities were totally jacked.
