WHAT?? WHAT!?
my point was that italian teams might not flow their offense through the wings like i've seen CP play in both the US and in London (when playing i guess). Its just taking some getting used to watching CP in that style of play.
But lemme go look at a map first. 🙄

Pulisic cookin tonight. I know its the italian league, but has he lost a step or three? he looks so slow in this attack, but i'm not used to watching serie A, maybe its the style?

I’d like to see Rodman get more involved on the wing. Vietnam is just absolutely clogging the center of the pitch

When I hear someone use cruel language that has historically been used to oppress and demean a vulnerable group, I'm not going to get in their face (assuming they're not actually using it towards someone in that group directly), but I sure as hell will think that person is a piece of shit and think much less of their character. I'm far from perfect and I think people can change and improve, so I try not to shame others or even judge them too harshly in my mind. But I think it's fair and healthy to be offended by certain language and behavior if its motive is to be cruel.

Not many people are actually, literally offended and clutching their pearls and most of us flung this one around at some point. But as it’s been explained by people with special needs and their advocates— when you use the word “retarded” as a synonym for something that’s really dumb or broken or not cool or FUBAR, then by extension you’re saying that so are people with intellectual disabilities. And that’s a deeply hurtful way to think or talk about real people, even if you don’t mean it that way.
So people telling you “maybe don’t” are not hyperventilating or pearl clinchers. They’re offering you a chance to be just a little bit cooler and kinder yourself by choosing better and more creative insults. You can take it or not. But if you don’t, then you don’t get to argue with the rest of the world about how they look at you. They’re going to think you’re super un-cool and unkind.
4 hours ago, troph said:You’re retarded or that’s retarded (referring to what someone says) absolutely is an insult of the recipient and by extension an insult to anyone who has a developmental or cognitive impairment. It doesn’t matter if that doesn’t offend (read upset) you. It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t upset me. It’s not cool to talk that way.
I've only read the first page and i don't have the stomach to keep reading to its likely demise by the 4th page, but I just wanted to say that I'm so happy that I share an online community with people who feel this way.
I've worked with intellectually disabled children and adults for 22 years and its a shit paying job and sometimes thankless, but apart from the communicative development of between kids and their families is the realization of many in the general community that the r-word is so old fashioned and generally disgusting. I was generally ok with the word being unintentionally amended and surly-memed to "regarded" but now I'm seeing the old word pop up much more and even varied to "autistic". Really? I spoke up once about it, then was summarily shamed for showing consternation about it. Its surly, so ok, whatever.
I think Orale summed it up perfectly, quoted above: "I feel protective of those in society who are vulnerable. When I hear someone use cruel language that has historically been used to oppress and demean a vulnerable group, I'm not going to get in their face (assuming they're not actually using it towards someone in that group directly), but I sure as hell will think that person is a piece of shit and think much less of their character."- 8

Also - don't listen to @Braff Zacklin he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Miles Robinson would have been a first 11 guy in Qatar had he not gotten injured.
I also have really started to appreciate Sands. He'll get first team callups for sure. Thats a CDM GERGG bonertime alert.

I think cowell will be on the A team eventually. The amount of minutes he gets will be debatable. But he's destined for Europe.
BV is an injury and time in Germany away from being a 2026 senior team guy. He's the GERGG prototype for striker. Big in the air, holding forward, type player.
My opinion is that both will be on the senior team in 2027, but possibly earlier based on development. Cowell needs a technical stint in Europe. He has amazing pace and work rate, but needs more than that to be a winger, esp winning 1v1s

what i didn't say it was a problem, just that we cant squeeze both BV and JF on the pitch at the same time. Mihailovic should still be on the. pitch.

2 hours ago, ztejas said:I would be fucking amazed if Cowell is ever a better player than healthy and in-form CP. Regardless of situation. He has about a third of the technical ability as it stands (and markedly less pace with the ball) and will almost assuredly never close that gap.
I think he can be a really nice player for us but we're a ways away from him being on the 2 deep let alone starting for our A team.
Cowell is 19. Pulisic is 24. Theres not gonna be that much overlap between the two potentially. Puli has 5 years experience on Cowell, and while we did see flashes of the American GOAT when Puli was 19, we now know that Puli was already maxing out near his ceiling. Yeah, he's been able to maintain that level (i guess, nationally, at least), but what we do know is Cowell has not even remotely approached maxing out. This is a young, moldable player who isn't technical in the least, but quick, strong, and shoots like a grown ass man. I'm eager to see what Cowell looks like at 24. He could potentially be an A-teamer with his current trajectory. He needs a move to Eredivisie
