***As you know by now, our sense a back in December that Sark was emerging as “the guy” has come to fruition. I will offer my thoughts on this hire, shortly.
***But for now, we’ve been trying to get a sense of where Sark will go for his hires.
***I’ve reached out to the same sources who originally gave us Sark’s name as being possibly the guy at Texas.
***The only two names they felt fairly confident about are names you’ve already heard – Kyle Flood “as OL coach or possibly OC”.
***Also, source said they, “think Tosh (Lupoi) will be DL or OLB coach”.
***Source added, “Sark is trying to take a few guys from Bama that Butch (Jones) wanted. AJ Milwee, a real up and comer on the offense as a position coach and maybe future OC”. Source seemed less certain on this front.
***Also, I was told that in the meeting yesterday between Sark and the players, Sark apparently told the players he would be interviewing the current coaches on staff (obviously fairly standard) but source said Sark added, “we want you guys to be comfortable”. I’m interpreting here but that sounds like something you say when you already have an intention to retain someone or multiple someones.
***I imagine that discussions with the AD and admin about retentions were had during negotiations but I don’t know if Sark gave them the “yeah we can definitely consider that” with nothing binding him to keeping anyone or if the AD and admin insisted on retaining certain people.
***Lastly, Bo Davis’ name has begun to circulate as a possible hire on the defensive line. I heard the name, as well. However, I know that Bo is very close to coach Saban and coach Saban holds him in very high esteem. I was told by one of my sources that “If coach (Saban) wants Bo, and I think he does, and there’s a spot, Bo will be at Alabama”.
***More as I get it and feel comfortable running it.
UPDATE (10:02 AM)
***Had some additional corroboration from another source on the likelihood of Tosh Lupoi ending up at Texas. This is a source who I’ve known for a while that is very close to the Washington program and has been for a while. Source just said, “I’d bet a lot of money Tosh ends up there”.
***Source also said that a name to watch is Doug Nussmeier. Source said, “Saban hired Nuss which started the UW to Alabama coaching connection”. This is less the source hearing this will happen, and more the source who has known all the UW guys for a long time believing the nature of their relationship makes it a real possibility.
UPDATE (10:39 AM)
***Football Scoop is reporting that Sark is targeting Alabama WR coach, Holmon Wiggins.
Link here.
Always tough to pull someone away from Saban but I like the moxie.
Dudes absolutely swinging for the fences. He gets it, that Tosh news is encouraging.

I think it speaks volumes on how Saban views this whole thing as well. With the Kiffin rumors, he told the dude to get the fuck out asap.
With Sarkisian he's keeping him around til the end. Think he holds Sark in a higher regard than Kiffin but just spit balling

To add to the transfer portal talk. Someone on IT mentioned that Bryce Young would likely follow Sark. Not buying it but would be interesting to watch.

Yeah I'm pretty sure none of his stories beat the one about our former coach's wife damn near killing everybody on a plane ride during a drunken tirade. But I'm willing to listen.

I know this one will be fun/divisive
Well that's the thing. Sark will have to wait til he wakes up from his nap before Giles can even interview,

The idea that CDC woke up on a Saturday morning and unilaterally fired the head football coach of the University of Texas is probably the most retarded thing posted on this board...that includes a voluminous amount of Cloak Room posts
Yep. Waited for months just to decide that today was the perfect Saturday to do so. JFC

saw a tweet that Muschamp followed CDC on Twitter today. He is but idk how to tell when that happened

Believe Mobile shows the most recent follows at the top. But I could be wrong. If so as Horns said. He started following Lanning as well. Interesting since it was thought he'd keep Coleman

He might be the biggest ass clown of all "insiders". It was clear he had no "sources" from the beginning.

Whittington tweeted earlier something to the effect of "better keep Drayton and Coleman" and I know Drayton and Bijan are close. For that alone I think you have to keep Drayton. I'd think Ash and anyone of the defensive staff who wants to stay merit consideration, but I know Ash is Herman's bro so that could be awkward. If I could pick one coach on D to stay it'd be Hutzler. What he did with the LBs this year was pretty crazy given that they basically weren't coached under Orlando, and he recruited well despite the dumpster fire on the field.
I don't see Coleman staying. But I'm sure they'll be more than happy with Tee Martin.

If nothing happens by next week, we can cross BK off the list. Just gotta hope UM doesn't get snatched up by the NFL.
Huh? Lol if he wants Texas then there not an NFL team gonna back door last second. Unless Dallas fires Mccarthy which isn't happening

Big schematic issues for Clemson on D. They look like TO’s defense covering empty grass.

Jones, Trask, NDSU guy, Wilson, and others are well in front of Boosh.
Trask tanked himself last night. He's dropping for sure. Jones is alright but gotta wonder how much of that is him, or the weapons he has to work with. I'm not particularly sold on Wilson. I fully believe Boosh can work himself up in the middle of those guys with a good pro day and workouts.
I mean Daniel fucking Jones and Mitch Trubisky were first round picks. Anything can happen lol

It’s just a weird COVID quirk, but I was playing on college football reference today and realized that if Sam and Shane each return for super senior seasons (and Sam plays), they’ll both likely end up top 10 all-time in passing yards. Shane would have a good shot at top 5.
Buechele declared for the draft before Christmas. I can see him working up some boards after Lawrence and Fields. After those two it's a crap shoot.
