Our DEI group sent an email yesterday in remembrance of it being the day slaves won their freedom in Haiti (saint domingue)…except the big calligraphic headline said “Remember Slavery” which was kind of weird until reading the rest.

    Pepperidge Farms remembers.

Y’all about to get a great visual representation of Cullman, Alabama.

Only good things to come out of Cullman are the Britt brothers (Roll Tide!) and orange rolls from All Steak restaurant.

That place only trails Sand Mountain and Haleyville for ultimate gumpness.

And it’s been pouring rain there for days and still raining. That pasture is an absolute mud bog lol.

And I can let the cat out of the bag now that the morons are already there.

One of the members of our North Alabama Women’s Democratic group owns the adjoining land.

She got the necessary permits and went through Secret Service clearance in order to set up a parking area. A PAID parking area. $20 per car.

All proceeds going to various local Democratic groups and groups like BLM, Planned Parenthood, March for Our Lives etc.

There should be an announcement next week. Letting all those Trumpanzees know exactly where their $20 went.

Those orange rolls are legit, but my god, just try to get more than one.

    What an amazing coincidence!

Lots of people “struggle with mental health issues” and, when changing up their meds, may act out of character.  However, constructing bombs and driving to DC with intent to destroy a chunk of the city isn’t acting out of character.  That’s just his MAGA slip showing.

Looks like Houston, Dallas, and Austin (maybe San Antonio, too) are daring Abbott/Paxton to sue them.

Maybe a $1,000 a day.  Which could be taken care of with a quick GoFundMe.  There's enough parents in AISD desperate  to keep the schools open and their kids in class.

I’d imagine these districts can find 180,000 without a problem.

Cheaper than buying iPads and remote education software licenses for students.

The Mysterious Algorithm said I was supposed to buy silver this month.

(Mystery revealed: Each month I multiply the weight of the gold and silver I have by their current spot prices. Whichever "half" has a lower $USD total value, I buy a little more of it.)

But I didn't want no boring silver right now. Still feels a bit high. But, Mysterious Algorithm speaks, hey, so I was gonna get around to it.

Then I saw that gold 5 pesos would be available for maybe 12 seconds online. I did a quick recalibration and included the premiums of the cheapest silver and gold in the algorithm. That was enough to flip it to "Buy Gold." I disregarded loose females, acquired pesos.

Hey, if I can't successfully lie to myself, how can I do it to strangers.

If I may: where did you find these 5 peso coins?

I have some eBay wealth to spend and, since I spent last weekend reading the entirety of this thread while enjoying a Harry Potter marathon with my 6 year, I feel more than ready add to my merge stockpiles of metals.

Percentages don’t tell much without the numbers on which they’re based. Anyone have those?

    From the link:

There are currently 19,499 cases of COVID-19 considered active in the state, which includes those that have tested positive by both PCR and antigen testing methods.”

“Romero told reporters at a press conference held Tuesday that nearly 19% of active cases of the virus in the state are currently among children under 18.

“Between April and July of this year, there has been a 517% increase in the number of cases under 18 years of age,” he said.

Half of those children come from the under 12 group that is not yet eligible for a vaccine.”

So...3705 under 18 and half that under twelve.

The Trumptards on twitter are going nuts about this:

Twitter needs to do a better job policing shit. Anything from Gateway Pundit should be blocked, and anyone linking to them should be banned.

lol a fucking field in Cullman.

    Sounds about white.

That’s the last town in Alabama that had a “sundown sign”. That was in the mid 90s.

Holy shit. My aunt, uncle, and cousins all live in West Point, not far from Cullman.

The Texas equivalent would be Vidor to Beaumont.  The comparison works on every conceivable level.
