The guy may be odd, but he puts up good defenses consistently. You would think that would be valuable to a lot of teams. Tons of shitty DC's out there with gainful employment.
I hope we didn't guarantee Robertson a starting spot, because he was just OK. The OG transfer is not guaranteed to be starter material. Hopefully he's just developmental depth who becomes something after a year in the system. I still think we need to be pursuing 3 sure fire starters on the OL. If we have fuck you money, let's use it. None of these great skill players mean shit if the OL is still fucked.
It's strange they still have Gideon working while waiting for the buyout to drop. I mean, why? Do they have him doing paper work? Is this punitive? You would think they would just want to separate.
You can also check out OT Jacarrius Peak in this video. He is committed to South Carolina, but if he hasn't signed anything yet, could still be viable.
Lacy signed a deal to return to Ole Miss next year. So did their kicker. We should drop a big ass bag on Malachi Toney after the championship game. I guess we get to find out if we have been working on that Ole Miss guard or not. It's a little hard to judge Bo Jackson. An ungodly number of his runs are so well blocked that he's just running free in space. Who knows how he would do behind our line.
Did he play this year for Michigan? He might be pricey if he's a developmental piece. Why pay for him twice when you can just spend money on him the following season if he pans out for some other team? Maybe he's an academic risk...
They've signed 4 other OL from the portal. That probably cost well over one million, maybe upwards of 2 million. I'm not saying they might not do it, but they are not desperate in the same way we are right now.
