  1. His thumb must be fine now... I'm telling you his brain processed both of those routes then locked prior to making the decision on which one to throw to, causing him to throw right in between them. It was 50% of each in vector/velocity/depth.
  2. Ewers' pea-sized brain made him throw that to both receivers. He literally split the difference on both of those routes.
  3. "We're not using our RBs until we have too. No running. All passes." - Sark
  4. Ewers' deep ball is still hot garbage. He needs to work on that.
  5. They play an extremely weak schedule. Watch them win out or get the 12th playoff spot with 1-2 losses.
  6. Yeah...they're called "doctors"
  7. Very underwhelming way to wind this one down. Ewers missing wide open WRs. Ewers in the game, period.
  8. Best of both worlds: - Put in Arch - Leave the playbook wide open and play aggressive. Arch gets reps and we run up the score on these late-hitting turds.
  9. Yep. No let up. Not until it's 0:00.
  10. A B1G officiating crew? Won't be any fuckery going on in this one...
  11. Serious question... How wind-affected is the Big House? Some of the larger stadiums aren't affected much.
  12. "We're capable of anything, but entitled to nothing. New year, new team, but the standard never changes." This should be the message fed straight into the veins of every player on the team. No more sissy "we're Texas" entitlement bullshit. Go out, beat the opponent's brains in, and fuckin' earn it.
  13. "He's loose. I mean really loose. Touchdown, no flags." I want to hear this again today.
  14. Oregon's schedule is a joke. Ohio State at home and @Michigan are the only 2 ranked teams they play. None of the others are likely to be highly ranked. And they struggled against Idaho. But yeah, totally the #3 team in the country.
  15. Thread title is a bit redundant, but I'll allow it. Early season and all. Hope ND skull drags these goobers.
  16. Holy shit! Shutout it is.
  17. There goes the shutout
  18. I know it's smart to go conservative with a big lead, but I do think Arch could use a few drives with the full playbook. He needs game time experience that consists of more than handing the ball off. Ewers has gotten injured in 2 of 2 seasons, so they need Arch in starter mode even if he's the QB2.
  19. Little bit of letup by the defense. Would like to see them finish strong and with a shutout.
  20. Kill the drive with a "too many men on the field" penalty?
  21. I know it's Colorado State, but the defense actually looks pretty good. Solid fundamentals and they look FAST.
  22. Took the intentional penalty to back us up 5 yards to get in better FG range for Bert.
  23. Said it all last year and I'm gonna start off this year saying it again in Q1 of Game 1. Ewers has elite arm talent, but he's a slow processor. His brain just doesn't have the System 1 horsepower to be an elite QB. He's hit his ceiling...which is still pretty good...but this is as good as he gets.
  24. Fucking Ewers. You're in FG range, man. Just tuck it and get whatever you can.
