  1. Saudis need to have a foreign legion like the French.  Just a fully decked our mercenary army.  The got the money for it.  Just not dudes who are willing to do bad stuff
Saudi doesn't have dudes with the will to do bad stuff...is this a serious statement? I mean, my impression is that Saudi will do any and every fucked up thing you can come up with, so long as they see it as being in their best interests.
  2. Ya'll have probably heard about Larry Vickers pleading guilty to violating NFA laws.  I really have no sympathy for him.  Dumbass did a lot more than push an envelope here.  He fucked around and is gonna find out with some time in the can.  I often wondered where he got his automatic weapons for some of his YouTube videos.  Makes me wonder how the Demolition Ranch guy obtained the MP7 that he has been flaunting on YouTube recently.  Is he next?

Ha, I just saw that that he has a new video with LEOs shooting his mp7. Figuring this was a quick CYA move?
  3. I try not to rank these admirals and other commanders in any order outside of having Admiral Nimitz at the top of the depth chart with Admiral Spruance the top commander that was active out on the high seas. If he was not in charge at Midway we might’ve been fresh out of carriers at the end of that battle. The rest all played a role as part of a larger machine and the ones that rose up and performed the best all should get an equal share of the praise for beating Japan.

Spruance and Admiral Lee are the two I believe I would’ve enjoyed a conversation with the most outside of Nimitz of course. Spruance had a mind that never stopped organizing and planning, even in retirement. He was born at the right time, in the right place and was in command at precisely the right time in history to do what he did and the history of the war accurately shows that.
I've been enthralled by battleships since i was a kid. Lee at Guadacanal is one of my favorite accounts of the pacific theater. Being an Olympian in rifle shooting, then going on to run a battleship division like a calvaryman charging on horseback with pistols blazing.... fucking awesome

  4. Anyone have any opinions on the second generation Pythons? Have been debating between one of these or a lever action 357.
Ended up getting a Henry 357 instead of the python. Took the difference and also got a P365 Macrobed8e198073fb08748eff508eb56037c.jpg

  5. A buddy of mine flew on the Space Shuttle and said that the Israel border is the only national border visible from space.  Why?  Because it’s green in Israel and brown everywhere else.

  6. 78729 here too, is your power half out? I’ve never seen it where some of our lights are on, but very dim.
Yes, kind of trippy; never experienced this before. Went ahead and shut off breakers to my electronics. Wondering if maybe someone has a generator wired up improperly.
  7. It’s time to gift myself something nice, so I’m thinking either a can or a thermal scope for the SCAR-17, both of which could be useful for hogs this fall.

Thoughts on the best place to purchase either in Austin? Never gone the NFA route, but willing to do so with the right dealer.
Go by the ATN store at Barton Creek mall and you can demo some of their thermal and digital night vision optics. A suppressor won't do you any good for this fall; I'm on month 9 waiting for approval on my eform 4 for mine
  8. Contradicts the story showing the leaked messages from the mother ship.  Where they sunk too fast, dumped all the ballast they could, and attempted to go up, but ascent rate was virtually nil until, POP, no more comms.
After reading some follow up information regarding the communication system, I'm under the belief that the leaked messages are bogus. The communication system relies on coded messages/shorthand and sonar pulses. Full string text wouldn't be feasible.

  9. Don’t forgot the two thermal scopes.
Have been using a thermal on my ar10 build and am a fan of it, but I'm generally shooting from the back porch a couple hundred yards into the pasture. For an sbr, I'd suggest nv compatible holographic or ir laser, and goggles. Much more user friendly moving between targets at close range, and doesn't fuck up your eye as much from looking at a bright digital image

    Edit: x2

  10. Before the Sony Trinitron, CM was the shit. Built like a tank.
The plant was in Athens. It was abandoned when I was little, if not before my time. We'd drive by it on the way to the skating rink. I didn't realize the scale of the operation until much later on.
