2nd battery to go out on my 2016 Tahoe.  Bought this one in 2020.  Car batteries only have 3 yr warranties?  Whatever happened to batteries that lasted 5-7 years?

I've never gotten more than 4 years out of a car battery. My old silverado and my wife's ford fusion and kia only lasted 4 years.

  3. Restarted my cpap machine last month and I'm up to 244 lbs. Heaviest I've ever been in my life. When I first started the cpap I was 225 and got up to 235. Went off it for a year and a half and back on it due to intense daytime sleepiness. If I hit 250 I may just have to look at surgical options or be drugged up just to stay awake. I'm trying to slow down the weight gain by cutting meals in half but I don't know if it's working well enough

How many pharmacies were there then as compared to now?  Are there just too many Walgreens, cvs, and rite aids now?

4500 pharmacies have shut down since 10 years ago. In the state of Washington they've seen nearly 10% of their pharmacies shut down since last year. It has more to do with insurances reimbursement and pharmacist opt out than a surplus of stores.

The shortage has nothing to do with refusal to be vaccinated against COVID. I have privileges at hospitals that are affiliated with all the major systems in Texas except ascension health and none require Covid vaccination for medical staff at this point. I assume it’s the same for employees. There was an exodus from nursing due to burnout from dealing with the onslaught of the critically ill and dying and the endless double shifts during Covid. That and the aging of the population are the main reasons for shortages

I don't know what it's like in medicine or nursing but pharmacy is experiencing an admissions crisis. Students just don't have interest in the profession anymore. When I graduated there were about 17,000 students who took the national licensing exam. Last year there were only 11,500 grads who took it.

Roughly one out of every four single family homes in Fort Worth are owned by an investor, company or corporation, according to a city analysis of data from the Tarrant Appraisal District.

The city’s report is just an estimate, because data from the appraisal district doesn’t specify if a home is owned by a company or individual. However, the city was able to make an approximation using information about tax exemptions, owner names and addresses.

The city classified owner-occupied homes as those with a homestead exemption, homes where the owner’s address matched the property address, and the owner’s name didn’t include terms like LLC, LTD, Inc., or trust.

Commercially owned properties were defined as those without a homestead exemption, owner names containing the previously mentioned terms, and those where the owner’s address didn’t match the property address.

Using those classifications, the city found that 64,372 of the 247,485 single family homes, or 26%, in Fort Worth were owned by a corporation or company.

A lot of my colleagues own their home via a trust so I'm sure the data isn't as accurate as the FWST would like to think.

The guy tried to write off his bribe, and OK, maybe it’s not illegal, but he’s supposed to set a freaking example for everyone. And as far as porn stars go for affairs, he could have set a better example for who to have an affair with. But the dude tried to write off a bribe — that doesn’t seem wrong to you in the slightest?

I could not stop laughing when I got to this part! I think the okie lawyer made a joke about Stormy Daniels being ugly too

There's a very real possibility I need glasses but I can't imagine a scenario where we're ranked 3rd in the country but OU fans buy out almost all of the north endzone tickets.

  9. Get a wearable. DO NOT let them depend on a cell phone. We made that mistake with my grandma who broke her leg tripping over a cat. Of course the cell phone was inside the house and she was outside immobilized. Ended up getting help because a neighbor heard her scream a few hours later

  10. Just wait until you find out that heat, radiation, and bleach sterilization doesn't work on the proteins that cause it. If you don't refold the protein using other chemicals they will persist in nature forever.
