Terrible ROI for aggy on this kid.  Think of all the payments to the footwork King guy and the aggy Tomball coach housing him, etc.  Didn't they build footwork training facilities?

    Stupid Sip.
Next you’re going to tell me that coddling a person with talent hurts them whilst challenging them makes them improve.

Although I've never really was a huge Paesanos fan per se mostly because Italian has never really been a favorite cuisine.   But any comparison to Olive Garden is ridiculous

    Yep.
paesanos edge for a long time was their fresh bread, fresh pasta and it was consistency pretty good. Wine is a big deal too and they really have some great values at Lincoln hts if that’s your thing. That one has always been Joe’s baby. My wife and her parents knew Joe well and were patrons from the very beginning.
I remember when she first started taking me there 25yrs ago I thought the food was good but maybe a touch heavy and bland. It’s more in line with the ‘simple’ flavors of traditional Italian comfort food. It’s grown on me and it’s just a solid standby for us. if you have 14 people coming over for a fantasy football draft or orgy, you can call them up and they will have you to-go totally taken care of in 30 min.

Fun little note, Joe is a great guy and true ‘Italian’. By that I mean he lives, laughs and loves. -And by ‘loves’ I mean he would always hire pretty college girls from Trinity as waitresses at McCullough, then Lincoln hts and fuck them. For decades.
One of them would get mad at him or another waitress he was fucking and quit, so he would just get another one. He also has a restaurant in Aspen (mezzaluna’s?) where he does the same thing.
We’ve gotten to know some of the staff really well at Lincoln hts over the yrs and I have always thought to myself Joe is the greatest judge of how wild a girl is compared to her crazy. It’s honestly incredible. He always had chosen people who where typical religious school girls who where looking to be ‘wild’ in college but at the same time were sweet, pretty, measured and understanding.

Didn’t pick up her kids from daycare.  Nationwide manhunt. Shows up 3 weeks later with a brand on her arm claiming a “couple Mexicans” abducted and abused her.  Turns out she was just banging her ex-boyfriend.

Old enough to remember when this would have been a couple of black guys. So does this mean we are making progress?

I think Manning is a different type of kid. He doesn’t even have social media. I don’t see him as the type to decommit.

*unless it looks necessary. I believe he’s a guy who is looking to stick to his commitment and taking all the steps necessary to do so. If we shit the bed and look like hot garbage while doing it, the mannings will make the best call for them and that’s fair.

Incredible, the preservation of things in cold water - makes me think of the Vasa.  The story and timeframe also makes me think of the Fram, which successfully made it through several expeditions based on a really cool design to survive the ice pack for years, if necessary.  Very cool museum in Oslo.

These people that undertook these expeditions amaze me.

God damn, I know Euphoria is supposed to be telling us just how crazy young peoples lives have gotten but it instead shows me what huge sandy pussies they are. This crazy chick thinks she’s going to hurt the guy she’s in love with for rejecting her by telling his ex (her friend) that they were fucking before they broke up? Seriously? I can tell you from extensive personal experience that teenage girls will hate the other girl long before they turn on the guy who constantly cheats on them. Unless you’re fugly or a bitch.

Oh, and Roe bit of advice: if someone threatens you with “selling you to real bad people” she’s going to do that to you regardless if you pay her the money back. Or she’s weak. Either way, you gotta stop being a pussy and just kill that bitch. You're a drug addict, just do it and take a shiitload of drugs after. Or before. Whatever works.

…and Arron rodgers is a great QB and not a terrible person but he’s is a huge fucking douche and should be recognized as such.

I have a different perspective on this.  As someone who has worked with a lot of military units including aircraft carrier deployments I think  the Mission Accomplished was really talking about that particular carrier group's mission and giving those sailers and naval aviators some closure to their part.

It was an unfortunate messaging thing that is was broadcast globally.  I don't have any behind the scenes info but guess that the sign was made by the ship/group and not requested by GWB's people.

Yeah, i mean their actual mission had been accomplished and GW landing on our carrier, in their Gulf was supposed to represent a symbol of strength/might that (quite honestly) large deployed groups like us need to stay engaged with the deployment. To the civilian world in case you were unaware: there’s always another mission ‘til you go home.

The imagery was then taken from that realm and put into civilian media where there are lots of very passionate perspectives which had no trouble pointing out the tone deaf irony. That was the thing though, it was supposed to be tone deaf/rude. Something that showed the World what we had done almost like putting a foot on the bear we just killed.

I think that division and criticism polarized the administration and led to moves that to them demonstrated strength/might but in actuality was just yanking the sword from their belly getting us covered in blood and shit.

In this particular context, a rather inapt analogy.  Because, although the job was far from over, unlike Russia, we had just put on a military CLINIC. It was in many senses premature, but it was not propaganda.

Because, again, we whipped their fucking asses militarily. (this is less the 9-year old in my going all America, fuck yeah, but more a tribute to our military and drawing a contrast between it and this Russian shitshow, which has given me a newfound appreciation for our military).

    Yep.

It was the whole “trying to keep the crumbling sandcastle up while also being shot at/blown up” part of the mission that the administration was somewhat short sighted on.

    Unpopular take ahead:

Not that I am siding with Russia on this, but won't it be difficult for the Ukes, or anyone, to prove "War Crimes" related to destroying residential building? Obviously anything pertaining to illegal weapons and targeting obvious civilians is a different story.

The main Ukrainian government twitter and social media are continually reporting on how their civilian citizenry is taking up arms against the Russians. If a Russian soldier pulls onto a street and there is gunfire coming from every widow of every apartment building and they fire back or call in some heavy gunfire to that location, that doesn't seem to be committing any War Crimes as much as just fighting a war.

    Rule three:

    Quote

Members of the armed forces and security forces of a country in conflict, members of militias, voluntary corps and resistance groups in a country in conflict, civilians who spontaneously take up arms during mass uprising are generally considered to be combatants.

*still you can’t mow down civilians to get the combatants. Just as our military who served hunting Isis about that.
There will be an investigation to find out what happens and gather physical proof to bring in Internatiol Court against Russian leaders.

It's just so incredibly fucked up how far Russia has penetrated western democracy. Let's hope the shit is permanently flowing back toward Moscow.

“Penetrated” is a strong word. America is for sale and as kids go all in on desperately trying to sell out; people like the Saudis, Russians, Chinese and Brits don’t have to do shit. They just pull up in their Maybach and people will fall over themselves to load up all the pieces of our country they’ve purchased into the trunk for a $20 tip.

Im all for capitalism so long as the population holds some things as more valuable than money.

At what point does this cross a line that warrants an actual response from a country not involved? Merchant ships journalists etc

Still in “Strongly worded letter” territory

If they beheaded him on video then we might have some sort of “Angry words said on the TV to Russia’

If they crossed the boarder a little and killed anybody on another territory then you’d get “‘’Reallly Angry words and  maybe some threats”

Things could possibly escalate from there but not before Russia is given diplomatic options
