What did he say about the NCAA?
tl:dr version: no teeth and CFB is a mess because of it.

Ritalin maybe.
He looks like Cedar Fever is bugging him.
That was one hell of a rant on the NCAA without any teeth.

IT on other potential staff moves
Quarterbacks — AJ Milwee
Inside Texas has heard zero discussion of Milwee’s job being in jeopardy. If anything, he may have increased his value with the insight he offered from the booth starting with the Mississippi State game.
For Milwee to move on, Sark would have to drop another major bomb—one that would likely entail adding a play-calling offensive coordinator.
We think he’s safe. As has long been chronicled, Milwee has a strong relationship with Arch Manning.
Running Backs — Jabbar Juluke
He’s been a fish to water in his first week at Texas. Sark wanted more fire and toughness. We didn’t know it at the time, but that was foreshadowing.
Wide Receivers — Chris Jackson
Inside Texas does not expect Jackson to return to Austin, and that appears to be mutual.
I have no clue who they would target. It was a weird process last time. I would bet Sark has a good idea of who he wants, given that needing a replacement has felt inevitable.
Tight Ends / Special Teams — Jeff Banks
Sundance to Sark’s Butch. He’s not going anywhere. Banks is probably Sark’s most trusted man in Austin.
Offensive Line — Kyle Flood
Sark and Flood are certainly close, but the product was poor in ways it’s tough not to hold him accountable for—especially if you’re replacing PK, who has been vastly, vastly superior to Flood.
I simply haven’t heard much discussion of late about Flood being replaced. Other than culture, Sark mentions the word continuity more than any other.
The way things are playing out, however, it kind of feels like The Godfather, and Flood is Carlo.
“Carlo’s Michael’s brother-in-law. Carlo’s probably safe.”
“Michael just became godfather to his child.”
“Look, now Michael’s giving him a plane ticket to Vegas. Yep, he’s giving him a pass.”We know how that ended. (NO SPOILERS)
Edge — LaAllan Clark
My assumption is Clark will be the defensive ends coach, but I haven’t heard that as fact.
Defensive Tackles — Kenny Baker
Baker is viewed very fondly behind the scenes, and I think he’ll be retained. However, Muschamp is an alpha who will come to his own conclusions and make his own decisions.
At this time, I do believe Baker is safe.
Linebackers — Johnny Nansen
Nansen is definitely in the Sark club, but linebacker is the most likely position for Muschamp to coach.
I had one source reach out to say how cruel it was that PK got let go before Nansen, given PK’s value to the program over the years. People are definitely split on Nansen, and he and PK didn’t always work well together. Reminder: PK is known to be able to work with anyone.
My guess is Nansen won’t make it—but put an emphasis on guess.
Cornerbacks — Mark Orphey
See Kenny Baker. Similar situation, but maybe a bit more tenuous given Muschamp’s focus on defensive backs and coverages. Orphey spending a year as a defensive analyst under Nick Saban surely helps his case.
One person I was told to watch for, if Muschamp makes a move, is Corey Bell at Mississippi State. However, I think Orphey is safe, and I believe that’s the right call.
Safeties — Vacant
I’m hearing this morning that the price to get Blake Gideon from Georgia Tech is too steep. I’ve also heard that Travaris Robinson is TBD to join Muschamp in Austin.
“T-Rob” is sort of like Muschamp’s Jeff Banks—in that if Will’s riding a motorcycle, T-Rob is in the sidecar, goggles on, scarf blowing in the wind.
Gideon was the first choice, but T-Rob is probably the favorite. There could be other names out there as well.
I am going nominate a name in for secondary coach from left field: Al Harris (his family still lives in Dallas)

Back to Flood: Say the role does become open who would you nominate as the next OL coach?
15 years ago I was screaming bloody murder to try and lure Juan Castillo, he was great then, not so much now.
But now? I'd nominate this guy.

Thanks. From the cut, it looked like he was coming from a LB spot
For those of you who don't read player scouting reports, take note of the pictures provided here - I've never seen a big human with as much 'bend' as Sergio. Combined with his single minded aggressiveness (which was honed under Boom) to punish ball carriers he was unstoppable. Who's going to reap the benefits of WM being back?
This guy:
I, for one, cannot WAIT to see Colin destroy mother fuckers under new management.
PK was great, he rebuilt the foundations of our defense. I thank him and genuinely wish him well, I'd happily buy him a beer if I ever had the chance.
Boom is the future - I believe he'll take the foundations the PK left and raise the ceiling to championship standards.
Only time will tell.

They're already on "probation" for recruiting violations an the sign-stealing shit through 2027. Need to bring the hammer after this, not holding my breath.
I know the NCAA has said they'll never use the Death Penalty again, but this one has me thinking the corruption is so deep and rampant in Ann Arbor it might be called for.

Not sure what this has to do with recruiting, but I took my volleyball-loving 11 year old girl to a match against Missouri this year and it was a ton of fun. I felt like Jackie Daytona out there cheering on the lady horns!

I'm surprised teh Shag's conspiracy theorists haven't pointed out Tom Brady now has the technology to clone himself and win more Super Bowls.
(yeah, yeah, I know; this boomer will see himself out...)

Not a fan of Boise (or anywhere in the Snake River Valley). If I were to watch a game in that region I'd head to Pullman - great college town and The Palouse is awesome.

Just finished Abercrombie's latest The Devils. Very much enjoyed it - it's not in his First Law universe, it's in a parallel/alternate history of Europe. I recommend it.

GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY!
Now having said that. I've been chipping in on this and it's predecessor threads for years as I'm 6th Gen Army (dad is one of the few folks you'll meet that was shot with a Ma Deuce and lived, Grandad landed on Normandy with the 4th ID, and on and on....) so I can genuinely say with pride this year, I'll be more than happy when I hear my boy cheer for the enemy this year.
This was from his Graduation on Halloween.

I'm not as wedded to the stadium as I am a D/FW neutral site + 50/50 seating. That said, fuck the Okies for always getting the tunnel.
I politely disagree, I always want our dogs running through the blO-U side first then coming home to our endzone. Those fuckwad dirt burglars only get to run out then immediately head to their sideline - it's half-assed and perfectly suits those half-assed sumbitches.

Deboer is tearing Alabama down to the studs in order to rebuild something that didn’t need to be rebuilt. Folks still employed there are fucking dumbfounded.
I guess this is the way Deboer did it at his other stops, so it’s got to be this way in Tuscaloosa? I’m enjoying it, I know that.
I've seen folks in other lines of work do the same, especially in similar situations - imagine you're coming into a great position and the person you're following is considered not just great, but perhaps the greatest ever. A technique to establish yourself as the org alpha is to tear things down not because they're completely broken, but because it's more imperative to let everyone know that you ARE the alpha and you're going to have things YOUR way. If you get everyone cowed and jumping to your every word then it might work...
...then again it frequently doesn't (look at our AD disaster a few years ago).
