Are there even any rumors about him talking to NFL teams?
Would be funny if he leaves then they hand it over to chip kelly lolNot that I know of. It really is just some silly thought. But it would be nice from a portal standpointe

So are they on Jim Knowles watch?

Just think less than 60 days ago, Ohio St fans wanted him fired.I feel like it’s a perfect time to exit. Fuck those fools, you just won a math and don’t have to deal with the insanity of those fans

At this point, I'll watch to see just how bad it gets.
I mean I do get that. And I probably will watch again, but damn…it’s just sad

I tuned in to watch this game…and I will not go out of my way to watch another. This is absolute garbage ball

2nd portal window will be huge for us. Also if Ryan Day heads to the NFL, that could be big….you know if true

As some of us have said in this thread and others, we need to do a better job of matching our recruiting to what we want to run.
Absolutely agree. Obviously I don’t know anything about what happens behind closed doors, but it seems we need to do better there.

Yeah if TEs are going to be running counter blocks, trap blocks, zone blocks, kick outs, etc…. Having them being a negative in the blocking game is not beneficial. It was surprising to me we didn’t try to go more 10 personnel to try and spread the field and get a speed advantage in space from time to time.

Hayden Conner did this too. I feel like we're missing something.
Probably just don’t want to be left out of social media posts

Last year's draft was more shallow than usual due to NIL keeping more guys in college an extra year. RB was especially weak last year. This year it's stacked at that position as a result.

Yeah I mean we’ll see. He may get one of those undrafted tryout deals then. Again, I wouldn’t be surprised either way about what happens.

How fast do people honestly think Blue is? Fast enough to remedy the him fumbling all the time? To remedy him going down with one arm tackles on the regular? To cover for weak pass pro?
The guy is a deeply flawed prospect coming out in what may be the deepest RB draft ever. If he gets drafted, I’ll be stunned.
I feel like with Keilan Robinson getting drafted, it kinda paves the way for Jaydon Blue to get drafted. It wouldn’t surprise me if he is or isn’t drafted.

Helm has reached favored player status. I think the ineffectiveness of TE blocking has been understated. There were questions about Sanders blocking last year. Maybe it goes beyond the players.
I think it’s absolutely worth questioning Jeff Banks… his ST were pretty bad and his TEs don’t block.

Who is giving this coaching clinic because we’ve pretty much whipped everyone else’s ass in short yardage the past two years?
Idk but I’ve had enough of poor red zone execution. And quite frankly, the poor execution of this running game in our losses has me concerned. So, yeah, learn something from somebody.

I love the thing we do every year where we trash our player because we want him to come back
Tough love isn’t it? Lol

For those that know, what are we expecting Michael Terry to play? Can it be RB? He is huge!

I'm still perplexed by this. Texas has an unnamed #99 lined up next to Banks on the left side. Jermayne Lole is the only 99 on the roster. Teams use DL as extra run blockers pretty commonly, but if that was Lole why wouldn't his jersey have a name on it? I have no idea who that is and why there's a player with no name on his jersey on the field. He tries to get to a linebacker instead of blocking Tuimoloau and Helm doesn't do jack shit and Tui makes the play. The whole thing is confusing me.
Wow…I hadn’t really looked at this play since watching live and all I can do is shake my head. Blocking just looks like ass and every coach should be embarrassed especially Flood and Sark. 99 has no business in there as he gets rag dolled. Hutson gets thrown to the ground. Helm has hands on no one. Majors gets stone walled and pushed back into the run. Connor gives no help to Majors and instead effectively blocks air as Banks pushes his guy out. Looks like Oklahoma 2023. They have to fix this shit and someone’s ass needs to get chewed. Go to a coach’s clinic because for 2 years this hasn’t been fixed.

Teams figured out after the first Georgia game that they could throw numbers at the LOS to disrupt the run game and pass pro. Part of that is due to no one fearing Quinn's legs. We also lacked the outside threat, Worthy last season and Bond prior to getting injured, to hurt teams that gambled like that.
Yeah we definitely agree there. I’ve said as much in different places here. The script was out on Texas. Rush without abandon because Quinn can’t hurt you. And it did work.

It always sucks to lose. It always hurts. If we don’t care it wouldn’t, but we do care because it’s part of who we are. It’s part of our life. And this comes from someone that didn’t attend Texas. I’m one of those “tshirt” fans.
Most of us have bonded with someone over this sport and with this school and team. It’s special, unlike anything else. For me, that’s with my parents. I was born in Texas, but grew up in Oklahoma. I remember my dad watching those Red River games, rooting for Texas and over the years that’s what instilled in me a love for the Longhorns. It wasn’t easy in Oklahoma, but it hardened me as a fan.
We made two games this year in Austin…Florida and Clemson. As they get older, I know there is less of this in the future. But for the time being, I will enjoy every damn second I can.
Texas football has given us excitement again, playing for championships. And even tho I’m not an alum, I love Texas sports and am emotionally invested because of the bond I share with my parents watching and rooting for the Horns.
It’s always Hook’em 🤘🏽

I wouldn't consider Conner or Majors "big humans." They're more of finesse position blockers than anything. I thought our lack of a reliable power back was as big of a problem as the interior OL. It's why we needed to run OZ so much.
That’s painful to hear. I felt especially in the UGA and ASU games outside zone was getting exploited by the opposing defense.

We shouldve brought manning in. Ewers is basically a non threat in the red zone. That is why we have struggled so badly this year in the RZ. Good news is that next year Manning will be in on every play and he will convert a much higher % of RZ opportunities.
Ewers not being a run threat in the slightest made it easier for defenses to attack the OL And the RB for sure. Offense should be more potent with Manning
