What's worse is a poster on a UT site that stans for Arkansas.
You’re not wrong.

A safety who doesn't like to tackle is the reddest of all red flags.
What’s worse is a LB that doesn’t want to tackle

What was up with Blackshire? Seemed like he had a ton of upside.
Ton of upside? I don’t think anyone thought he was more than depth.
played 9 gms in ‘21, 8 in ‘22 and 7 in ‘2325 tackles in 3 years.

This kid seems like everything you'd want in a player.
Oakland AA player of the year in HS, Honor student, seemingly has his head on straight, focused on getting an education in case he can't go pro.
I mean, obviously I don't know him personally, but the more I read about him the more I like him.
Honestly, no matter where he ends up, I'll root for him.
Ran 10.67 in ‘22. So he obviously has some elite traits.

Ran a 10.92 100m as a freshman in high school. That's pretty good. That’s elite for a freshman. What did he run this year?

All 9.95ers have said the younger brother played a big role in him choosing TCU. I bet this puts them over the top. The younger brother will never even play with his brother at ou

The least correlated rankings to actual collegiate performance and NFL draft picks are on the OL, with IOL being worse than OTs. I look at the schools fighting over this guy versus his ranking and then compare it to someone like TJ Shanahan, the polar opposite situation, and kind of roll my eyes. Last I heard, Texas really wants this guy.
I've never been a big "trust the coaches" guy when it comes to recruiting, but there's something similar that I've been following for years now when it comes specifically to the LOS. Who is Texas competing with for any of their DT, OT, C or OG targets? If the competition consists of programs and/or staffs putting guys in the NFL and regularly in the playoffs, okay, good, that's a strong sign that a low ranking can be ignored and a high ranking is confirmed. If that isn't the case, your program is heading towards late-stage Mack and could wind up careening towards Tom Herman/Derek Warehime/Herb Hand catastrophe.
This plus only taking 1 or 2 OL in a recruiting cycle. At the end of the day with the miss rate being so high it turns into a #s game. Take them and if they hit great if not process them out.

LSU “sponsored” aggy? WTF. Is the SEC a country club.
It’s more like AA and LSU is their sponsor

If you're not aware, high school uses a 12 lb shot and college/international goes up to 16 lb.
Typically you get stronger and yes your throws get shorter but then you start gaining distance again. He threw 70+ in hs and 3 years later he’s still 12 ft under that.

Why not both?
Ive heard Bobby say back in November that the 25 college starts for QBs is a known marker of NFL success and the Ewers family would be factoring that into his NFL decision
Because he wouldn’t have been a 1st rd guy had he come out

Maybe I have listened to Bobby Burton & Gerry repeat it about 30 times, but the Manning family, and statistics, show that a QB with 25 or more starts is much more likely to experience success in the NFL than a QB with fewer starts than that.
It is a big reason that Quinn is returning for a third year and unless Arch starts 12+ games this year, there is virtually zero chance that Arch goes pro after next year (2025), no matter how great his season is.
The Mannings are focused on that 2nd, 3rd, and maybe 4th NFL contract. Leaving after one starting season is not part of any plan.
Gotta disagree with you on Ewers he came back because of the consistency or lack thereof last season. Also, the qb draft class next year much weaker.

That's always been the disadvantage of having a DC who wasn't a good secondary coach first. He doesn't seem to be able to correct this sort of thing. We just wander along blaming it on lack of pass rush, youth at DB, and eventually DB coach.
This is absolutely bs the development of the secondary is on the secondary coaches. Now if the coverage doesn’t match what you’re running up front then that is 1000% on the DC.

It's also just a terrible fucking argument.
Garrison, Avila, Mark, and Pope are all considered top transfers. None made the tournament this past season. I guess we shouldn't add any of these guys.
damn Avila chooses someone besides Texas and you all have the same opinion I had from the beginning. His athleticism is going to seriously hinder his ability to play against p5 competition.

I could be remembering wrong, but I think he was Sark’s first ever commitment. Wasn't he the guy that committed after the Bama NC right after we hired him?
Also I’m not sure how hard we were pushing for him to stay committed by the end.
Well he decommitted during a game we won so yea that never sat well with the staff

I had the opportunity to watch this game from a suite and turned it down. Looks like I made the right decision.
There’s only 1 right choice when someone asks you to go watch this season’s team. Easy choice. Correct choice.

I watched his HUDL highlights. I was not overwhelmed. He looks good, but no better than many other RBs out there. I couldn't find a 100m time for him but his best 200m time is 24.20.
Woof that’s a really bad time, but I watched his highlights and he’s slippery, seeks out contact and he’s got nice balance.

Well if by position you mean at safety then yes, but otherwise he’s a day 3 draft pick at corner.
