One is the cherry on top, the other is the whole cake

You’re not wrong but do we have the right guy putting together the ingredients? The only reason the it’s just the cherry is because one has already been baked.

Yep, they won 32 games this year. But the selection committee decided to rock with sorry ass Virginia.

So now just making the tournament is the barometer for a successful season. Out of the transfers we took outside of weaver who would you consider a positive addition? I am totally basing this off of RT not knowing how to construct a team

I think he ran faster recently.  10.96s? Elite numbers for a 6'3" 230 lb guy.

He didn’t run a 10.96 unless it was a split in the 4x100. I’m not complaining but he’s more of an 11.3-11.4 guy

Maybe, maybe not - it depends on the team around him. He passes well and he shoots well and would probably be a very good player at PF as long as he can hold up guarding other PFs. He and his teammate and the South Florida guard would probably be a pretty decent start.

With that said, what is the nucleus of our team next year? Who is staying and what are their prospects as players in the SEC?

And you think RT is the guy you would trust to rebuild and entire roster?

Obviously means he's most likely going to one place (SLU) but it's not like it prevents him from talking to other schools, just that he has to make 1st contact which it seems like he's done

This is a guy who shined against weak competition. He could not hold up in the big 12 and def not in the sec schedule. He would be a defensive liability.

I really hope RT can get us back to the sweet sixteen at the very least. He's a great recruiter, but I have my doubts he's a long-term answer for the program. My personal belief is he was a feel good story and they decided to sign him. Glad he got Tre Johnson, and maybe he can help RT in the SEC for his one season, and maybe Cam Scott can make some waves in year one and take over in year 2 before he bails. I know nothing about Nicolas Codie. But we are desperate for guys in the portal that can contribute immediately, or we may be back to the same shit in year 2.

Not to mention we have Frank Haith to help with the recruiting and coaching, but I cannot take a loss to another no talent UCF-type team. RT has his work cut out for him.

I have no faith in RT and it’s clear that the men’s programs in baseball and basketball are far and away behind their female counterparts. The mens baseball and basketball programs need to upgrade their coaching staffs. They went out and got the best for softball and women’s basketball.

The district Lufkin was placed in voted to allow them to leave.

Then it went to the district Lufkin wanted to be in and they voted not to let them in (to clarify what I originally meant).

angleton and gball were right to vote no, why would anyone say yes to driving 3 hrs for a district game.

I'm with you on this except I think no classification should have divisions.  Make a 7A and and 8A if need be, but this D1/D2 bullshit needs to go away.  State titles should not be handed out like participation trophies.

Agreed that the districts should not be split into d1 and d2 and that solves all of the travel concerns, but I do like how 6a splits the playoffs between big and little.

  9. I love the debate, but why is the end all be all the fact that our #1 said no so fall back option now has less than 0% chance of success… do you truly believe that there is only 1 guy for each job? If so God help us all. PK signed off on this hire too. I am excited that Sark has coached in the NFL and college so that he a rolodex filled with guys he can call up. Unlike elko who was not ready to put a staff together on his own.

Thought he'd end up at USC. (I know...maybe he still will.) Keilan Robinson starter kit?

Other than he’s going to outweigh Robinson by 20lbs they weigh damn near the same and he’s 6 years younger
